Yes, Jen, we did! I cannot believe all the fun we are going to have this summer. Just like the year we met YOU!!!

We are still so excited. And there are still a few DISmeets that are not quite decided yet ..... it should be such a fun vacation.

Oh.My.Goodness! Business Class!! WTG!! LOVE LOVE LOVE BC...no other way to travel on transatlantic flights - of course, we've only had the privilege once....but oh my...how wonderful. So happy for you and Tom!

How about those DIS Meets! Very exciting!! Any chance you could squeeze in one more?

Great news all around - oh and the WISHES cruise! On my list some day.

Christine, I was so excited about us being able to go Business class. We pay about 3500$ for economy flights for the two of us and business is usally over twice as much. Imagine my surprise to find out it was only about 1500$ more!

Sure we can squeeze in another DISmeet, Christine! Just let me know once you have made your plans.

I went to check my reservation again this morning, Linda and business class is still there.
We SO enjoyed the one time we were upgraded for free. Ever since we have tried and looked for a reasonable price, but always had to go with economy. Can't believe it worked out so well this time.

We have met so many wonderful people on our DISmeets - This is going to be an awesome summmer.

And hooray for more DIS meets; I'm glad you are meeting Steph and Dave (I have to admit I lost track of them as I stopped following their wedding TR because no updates had been done for so long). I hope they are doing well.

I am overjoyed with the thought of finally meeting Stefy and Dave. We have tried for so long, even thought of meeting up in London, but nothing so far worked out.
I know about their TR, but they moved into a house together and now have a few kittens and work has been challenging too, so she hardly ever posts on the DIS any more. She wants to, but time is not allowing it.
They are doing well though - we stay in contact via email and it is so nice to be updated on her daily life again.

And another firework cruise?!!! That was definitely amazing!!!

And all the dismeets?! Should make for an amazing trip!

Ann, I am sure you can relate to the long flights being a pain in economy class. It will be the perfect start to our vacation as we are going to fully enjoy the flight WITHOUT any sleeping aid.
And while it won't be nice to go home, it will at least be nicer, knowing that we can stretch out for the flight home.

We had such an awesome time on the fireworks cruise (mostly because of the wonderful company we had!) and on the flight home we had already decided that we were going to do another one if we had the chance to share with friends again. Now that Jeff is coming and Michelle is willing to go again we will have another fun cruise!

We are so excited of the prospect that we will arrive relaxed and rested this time (and well fed, I guess. )

I am so looking forward to the DISmeets. We have met such wonderful friends on the DIS and it will be awesome to see some of them again and to finally get to meet some new ones.

Congrats on the business class. DISmeets and a fireworks cruise...sounds wonderful...fun, fun, fun!!! I spoke to Jeff two weeks ago and I guess his plans changed since we talked. He told me that he and Lily were going to WDW and the kids were going to his brothers. I'm happy that the kids are going and you will get to see all of them. All this talk about DISmeets makes me sad that we will not get to see you this summer, it would have so nice to be there at the same time as you and Jeff.

I know that Jeff thought about leaving the kids with his brother, but then he changed his mind and we are SO happy about it. We love those kids and are ready to spoil them senseless.
We plan on spending the first two days before the cruise with them. And I really hope Jeff takes good care of himself and he won't be on crutches again.
Only downside is that you won't be there as well. But ...... one can always hope, maybe with a little something will come YOUR way too, and you might even be going as well.

Well all I have planned is a Disney cruise,. Vermont, Las Vegas , Disney x2, so I guess I have a lot of plans already and I just know that as I left July and August open Patty from P&P will be calling

Yes, we were showered with Pixie dust lately. Well, at least when it comes to travel.

Our summer vacation is really taking shape now and it looks like it all will turn out awesome.

Business class will mean that we can bring two suitcases each! Guess who will do a lot of shopping?

MORE NEWS

Today we got another step closer to our next vacation, by booking some more things.

For our Paris trip at the end of next month (6 weeks exactly from today we will indulge in fresh baguette and eclair ) we booked our car.

(this shows just the category). Funnily enough we went with Hertz again, as they are IN the airport and quite close to the exit. You can bet that after the last experience we had I will take A LOT of pics of the car, before we take off.

For our summer vacation we booked our car for the first three nights of our vacation.

AND we booked our ride for after the cruise as well .........

YES, we booked another convertible for the remaining 15 nights! Here's to more sunburn and messy hair.

Plus there was another change to our summer 2014 vacation.

Somehow I got thinking about the Med trip and thought that a stop at Dubrovnic (where Ana and Matija, our favourite Dream CMs are going to live) would be fun. Well, the only cruise that stops there leaves Barcelona in June - just not possible with my school vacation.
BUT, while researching I noticed an itinerary that looked even more inviting than the one we had booked.

And yes, you guessed it ......

I changed our saildate and we are now sailing through the Med from July 26 to August 6 (12 nights again).
Our cruise leaves from Barcelona (yes, we will miss Venice, but then on the other hand, that is one city we can always drive to if we want to ) and we will visit

FRANCE (either Nice, Cannes or Monaco)

ITALY (Florence or Pisa and Rome)

GREECE (Athens and Mykonos)

TURKEY (Ephesus)

and MALTA before returning to

Barcelona.

Flying into and out of Barcelona will allow us to use Frequent Flyer Miles to fly Business class for free (couldn't do that with two different ports). We will arrive two or three days ahead of time, then add two or three days after the cruise.
After returning home we will spend a few days at home and then spend another two weeks on the road and at Disneyland Paris.

Okay, that's all the news for today!

Tom has made a new logo for our visit to France during the Med cruise and I am going to repost that one instead of the baguette.

No, there will be NO WDW for us in the summer of 2014! And we will even have to skip it in 2015 if we can manage to pull through with our plans for Califoria.
But IF we make it to California if have lots of DL time planned.

I am so happy about the change. I have only been to Barcelona once and that was just a brief visit. So next summer, we will spend a few days there before AND after the cruise.

Once I had found that "new" itinerary and had made my mind up, I knew it was a good idea. Tom agreed to it on the spot - it sure makes more sense to us to visit more countries via the ship, then just hop Greek isles.
