For those of you who emailed to be part of the audience during the christmas parade with Regis and Kelly - how long did it take for them to notify you that you could be part of it? I emailed them Sat.- still too soon?
Linda

I e-mailed on Tuesday of last week, and still no word....

I emailed them the first day on NOv. 1 and they
emailed me a confirmation letter on NOv. 2
We are confirmed to be there on the Sat. morning 1st session.
We can't wait!
Have either of you done or seen the taping before?

hmmm never even knew you could email about this?? tell me more please :teeth:

Sent off my email on Monday, the 7th and got back my confirmation email on Thursday night/Friday morning. I'll be doing the early Friday morning one. I still don't know what time we have to get there though. I guess they'll tell us when they send out the info email on the 28th.

I emailed the 9th - no reply yet.

Did the taping last year - it was a mixture of fun and boring. Standing for hours got tiring. But as you see, trying to do it again.

I think the early slots required us to be at the gates at 7am, but not positive.

Here's what it says on the website.

Due to overwhelming response, Friday and Saturday are completely filled. If you have submitted your Friday reservation request, prior to Sunday November 13th, you will be able to attend. However, please be patient as it will take time to respond.

I think we're in!

I emailed on the 10th & according to the site, as long as it was by the 13th, we are in.. I just haven't gotten my email yet. What I do not understand is, why are they saying that you get into the park "free", it was advertised on the AP holder site... and to have gotten into that site, you have to have an AP or at least a voucher, meaning....we already have admission tickets. Does anyone else see what I am saying? Or has this been advertised elsewhere??? not just AP site????

Anyone could sign up and they did invite CM's to bring their families, so I assume that benefit was for them. I found it ironic as well that they would give AP holders free admission and free parking!

I emailed them on the 7th of November. They claim they have had 1000's of emails and there are only 2 people sorting through them all.

I found it ironic as well that they would give AP holders free admission and free parking!
I thought that was ironic too, but it will work out for us b/c I can bring my aunt who doesnt' have an AP with us.

I emailed on the 8th and got a reply today.
As for the AP thing...people could get to the website without going thru the AP site first. Its not directly linked to Disney...its Lightshiptv c.om or something like that. So I'm sure some people attending are not AP holders. Just big fans of Regis and Kelly...lol

Anyway I'm in for the Friday am session too....can't wait.

See you there.

If you want to be a part of the taping there is no reason why you can't just join the crowds in the park. The MC invites people walking along to stop and participate. You just don't get the other perks.

Safetymom - That is how it worked in the past, but from what I have heard from some CM's, they are trying to control the crowd a little more this year. So, they are asking visitors to either get right on the train or re-directing through the shops and not letting people onto Main Street. Of course, I don't know this for sure, but just wanted everyone to be prepared so they weren't disappointed if it does happen that way.

I e-mailed on the 8th--nothing here yet. My request was for early Friday taping or later morning Friday. We will see. It will be our last full day at WDW, so I figured, why not?

They made those same suggestions last year trying to keep the crowds down on Main Street. After standing there for many hours it was obvious that many people still chose to walk down the sidewalk. I know several CM's and it hasn't changed from last year.

I have done this two or three times already...neither of the times were by "invitation". Last year's I did find out about it the night before so I knew to get to the park as soon as it opened to guests. The other times, it was just by walking into the MK. Last year there was one part of the day where it thinned out so much that I was "placed" in a particular spot by a CM to stand..it was right behind where they were holding the flags. It was me, my dd, and two friends. Also, as far as last year, I don't remember them allowing anyone to enter prior to the parks opening unless they had a voucher for it. I was an AP holder & I had to wait for the actual opening of the park, while those with the voucher things were already in & had been for a couple of hours. So maybe this is new to allowing AP holder's in without the voucher.... and that would explain why the site originally said "free admission"..... AP'ers have the admission anyway...
nearly forgot.. I still haven't gotten my confirmation yet...still waiting, I know I can get in anyway, now that I see AP holder can get in without the voucher thing. I honestly didn't see that statement on there when I sent my email. Could be becaue I was so excited to be emailing that I didn't look... :rotfl:
