We Have Returned

So sorry to hear that your daughter was injured...Ouch!! Glad security was close to help with the ugly situation. Hope she's feeling better :goodvibes

Back for a break, had to take Alexandra over to emegent care to get two stitches in her ankle, another stroller nazi got her. She is the one with the RA. Security removed the family from the park and they will be getting an $1100 bill for just being agressive and really stupid. This happened to me in 2005, deja Vu????
Warmer today(90 at 1330) than yesterday and the crowds remained low until 1100 and then they started cranking up but still not as bad as last year.
We are going to try the BBQ tonight and see how that is. C.O. was excellent for lunch. Very snappy service and the food was excellent. The lead stopped by 3 times to see if we were doing OK. Everywhere we have gone the service to seem to have gone up a few notches.

More later, thanks for the well wishes and all the thread responses.

Jack

Wow! That's just crazy! You guys seem to be making the best of some tough situations. Hope the BBQ is good; we've been wanting to try it but haven't made it over there yet.

If she was close to you I would think people would be scared away. And you didn't bring any weapons? ;) My DBIL does. Seriously. He is in law enforcement in SoCal.

Sorry to hear more bad news. Hopefully it is all behind you now!

OMG! I remember you telling us about something stupid happening before. This trip is having its issues, isn't it? I hope you're still have a nice time.. What a rough start....:sad1:

Thanks for the posts and updates. Sorry to hear about the illnesses, the arthritis flare ups, and the stroller injury. Here's hoping the rest of your trip is smooth and magical! Thanks for keeping us up-to-date. :goodvibes Have a great time in the villas.

Enjoy the BBQ! We love it there. My daughter and I are headed down for the day in the morning. Can't wait! I'll keep my eye out for you.:goodvibes

Stroller nazi. :rotfl:

They have gotten me before too...dang that really hurts.

I pushed a stroller in the parks numerous times before and I NEVER hit anyone. I don't know why some people think that if they have a stroller they can bulldoze through the crowds. :rolleyes1

Here's hoping your JuJu changes and the rest of your trip is magical.

But wait what about those who jump in front of strollers ~ if I'm paying attention and being careful and you leap in front of me sorry pal. The exodus from the fireworks to the 2nd F! is scary! I felt like everyone strollerless around us felt entitled to get in front of us!

Sorry A got hurt ~ what in the world caused the family to get kicked out of the park?!?!

Wow, here is some pixiedust: hope it helps. Enjoy the time you have with the kids at a magical place.

Holy cow Jack, she needed stitches from a stroller nazi?? That's insane...I've been run over/into countless times and never needed stitches from it! Here's hoping the rest of your trip goes better......

If I jump in front of your stroller then I deserve to get run over but I can honestly that has only happened once...and it was actually the fault of the stroller pusher. We were walking thru the hub and it was very crowded, people were getting ready for fireworks, we were walking from Tomorrowland to Frontierland, we were all in a single file, DBF, me, DD14, DD10 and we were all holding hands. Well someone decided she wanted to go around everyone going the opposite direction as us so she started to cut around and almost rammed me, she saw me, stopped and started to reverse, I dropped DD14's hand and literally jumped over her kid in the stroller....then she started to yell at me, until the CM who saw the incident stepped in and told her she had to walk with traffic and not try to cut around. In the meantime DBF had made sure I was ok, the girls caught up and we walked on but that's the only time (and only circumstance I can see) I've had to do that...and it was very scary for me, let alone that poor kid. Every other time I've had a stroller incident it's been the pusher ramming into me from me or even from the side.....and it's not like they don't know I'm there. And I highly doubt anyone in Jack's party would jump in front of a stroller...... :)

The person pushing the stroller was fast jogging and went to zig around a person and then she zagged right in Alex. I complained to security, she continued on and I finally caught her and then I filed a report with security and we took Alex to the have the ding checked and stitched. What a foul mouth this woman had................whats the world coming to.
I cost me time and I had to pay the bill, I will get the money back, but security asked what I wanted done and I asked for them to be removed from the park. There are a lot of stupid people who come here and do not attempt to play. I could have punched the male person out but I am getting older and am trying to be more tactful.

Alex has had JRA/RA and is on chemotherapy for the disease process, she does not need any more problems than she has.

Just because you have a ticket does not give anyone the right to be here if they do not want to play fair.

We were at Cafe Orleans for lunch today too! We were there at 11:30, but left DL right after because it was getting a little too crowded for us. We had already finished everything by then though, so we were good.

We saw World of Color on Monday, and loved it. We were red section right up at the rail, a little off center. We will see it again on Thursday night too.

So sorry that that happened. :(

your a great dad for sticking up for your daughter like that and chasing down that woman! Thats awesome that you had them removed from the park! maybe the story will get around and make other people more aware of what they are doing...... hope your kids start feeling better soon!

Who knows what this world is coming to Jack. People only think about themselves and don't care who they take down in the process.

I hope A is doing better and you are having a magical time.

Jack, glad to see you made it there alright. Sorry to hear about them getting sick and the injuries that followed. You did the right thing:thumbsup2. Hope you enjoy the rest of the trip and nothing else bad happens. Stay safe brother

Today is another day. The weather people were saying 97 degree's for the day but looking outside it is very cloudy. Alex is a bit sore from yesterday but she is ready to go. We have to pick up our Club 33 package for dinner tonight at Guest Relations(I have always found that to be a strange name especially here at DLR.) So everyone is looking forward to that experience especially me since I met Walt many years ago. To bad he did not live longer to see his Club materialize.
The BBQ was excellent last night. I wandered into a building that had some of the original artwork for the park, now I have to find it again since I did not pay attention to its name.
I am going to take a bit more patio time later today just to sit back and relax a bit. We have not been taking our big afternoon breaks as we would usually do, so it is time to relax.
Thanks to all for reading my non-trip report. We did get 23 rides, shopping, and 1 show in even with the misadventures.
Everyone have a great day, we are the ones who can make it that way.

Jack

Have a wonderful time at Club 33, Jack! It really is a magical place. Don't be afraid to ask your server any question you might have about it. Most of them have been there for years and love chatting about the club.
