We have had favorite sights and sounds of WDW...How bout favorite scent!

For me its the lobby at the Wilderness Lodge Villas. It was kinda "cedar-ey" In an instant I was relaxed

Ooooo! I second the smell of AKL...Boma's and the wood...so nice. I actually think about and fantasize about going back to AKL just to smell the place! Ha! We will be staying at VWL this next trip, but will be making a stop at AKL to eat at Boma's. Wish they could bottle that smell...I was actually thinking that just a couple of days ago! I'm weird.

Me too! I read the thread topic and that instantly came to mind, you beat me to it...lol

I also love the smell of the funnel cakes, but on Atkins now so no more of those... guess I'll just have to settle for the turkey legs...

Since that's no longer there, I'll give my second vote to the scent of the flowers (Jasmine?) near the Crystal Palace at the MK.

I walk that area JUST to smell those flowers!

Mine was the oranges at Horizons--now, I get somewhat the same feeling as I clean with Orange Power cleaner. Not exactly the same--but it'll have to do
Rome burning would be my second choice.

I've got to agree with Animal Kingdom Lodge firepit...the aroma fills the resort. It's been 1 1/2 yrs since we stayed there, but we still talk about how great it smells.

AKL just smells amazing...from when you walk into the lobby to even walking around the corridors to your room.

I don't know what it is...but I LOVE it.

I am a lover of the AKL smells too...there are lots of us here! But, my very favorite WDW smell is the honey smell when you enter the gift shop, after leaving the Pooh ride at MK!

This may sound a little strange, but I love the musty smell in POTC. To me, that scent is embedded as the Disney smell, going back to when I was a child.

I mentioned this on the "sounds thread" but I love the smell in the Journey to Imagination attraction. I remember on our honeymoon when it was so hot and humid outside and we rode this attraction and it was so cool and it smelled of lavender (I think). If anyone knows what I am talking I would love to hear from you. I haven't ridden it since rehab but I leave tomorrow and will check it out.

I would have to agree with ROME burning in Spaceship Earth. I don't know why, but I just love it. I also like POTC, I don't know why.

Oh, I can't pick only one - there are just so many.
-love the ash smell in Spaceship Earth
-the musty smell in Pirates
-the sweet candy smell that just lofts out of the candy shop on Main Street
-the pine smell in the Xmas shops

Uggh, I guess I'll have to start planning my next trip so I can get my fix! LOL!

the wood smoke/spice smell at the AKL. (Anyone one know if this happens naturally because of BOMA or do they pump in this great smell!!!!

Here are some other smells that take me to WDW!!!!

*The smoke smell on Kali River Rapids.
*The mildew smell on Splash Mountain
*Axle grease at Test Track
*Beaver Tails (with Maple) at Canada in Epcot
*The smell of beer and sauerkraut at Germany in Epcot
*On Main Street in MK, the smell of fresh baked rolls and candy
*The smell of strawberries, apple pie and champagne from Mickey's Philarmagic
*The musty/damp smell from POTC
*Turkey legs!!!!
*the smell of gunpowder during and after Illuminations!!!!!

I know I have fogetten some but these are my tops!

another vote for AKL/Boma's...loved it!!!

I will never forget our first trip in may 1995: The entire CBR smelled soo good from all the flowers and plants...

along those lines: EPCOT's flower & garder festival

I also love that burning/greasy smell you get from: MK railroad, BTMR and the like.

Those turkey legs always SMELL better than they actually taste(IMHO).
