Well after a three day trip and one flat tire we arrived at the fort. I just love driving in each time. We are in site 401 until May 1st :banana:feel free to stop on over and say hello:banana:. My wife and two sons, ages 3 and 1 (on April 21st) are having a good old time. I kept the 3 year old out last night so we could go watch Wishes and we ended up staying until midnight. Mom was steamed and we all paid for it with a crabby 3yo all day today.

The site we are in is wonderful. I can't say enough about the new premium sites. Its nice, wide, and deep. My son can ride his bike around and not even go on the loop road. My 34ft toy hauler fits and there is still tons of room. Nice and close to the settlement is just the way we like it. Sites 401 and 402 are next to each other and separated from the others a bit. It would work great for two groups to hang out together.

ABOUT THE CROWDS.............

We spoke to a couple CM's last night who said that it really slows down after today. Last night we had no trouble getting on any rides. Many had no waits at all. We did ride the people mover because it is closed for rehab as of today. The fort seemed empty this afternoon but quickly filled up again by dinner time. The CM's are also looking forward to a bit slower time as it was very busy last week.

THE NEW POOL ROCKS!!!!! The pool seems to have drawn a ton of people to it. Yesterday, and today, it was packed full with people. I have never seen it this busy in the years we have come down. The new waterslide is nice and the whole area is clean and new.

Well I hope all of you on your way soon have a safe journey. If your here now stop and say hello. Take care and be safe.

Glad you made it o.k. and are having a nice time. I admire those of you that drive long distances. You have to really go with the flow.

And the cranky 3 yr old will feel nice and refreshed after a good sleep -maybe even another nap!

Thanks for the report!!! Enjoy your trip. I think the fort is sooooo great with little ones!!! Much better then being in a hotel room.

SO things will slow down today!!! Yeah, We arrive on the 30th. Hope it is true.

have fun:cool1:

Glad to hear that you are all having fun already!!! We cant wait to go this fall. Maybe while your there, you can take a stroll over to the 1400 loop and tell about the sites....we are booked for the end of October for a grand gathering and they had requested the 1400 loop, but we need a few sites with the sand pad in the back for tents. I am curious to know if those sites are still preferred and if they still have them........enjoy the rest of your stay!!!!

Glad you made it ok, thanks for the site update, I'm trying to keep a record of loop and site descriptions for our next trip. It sounds like the 400 loop has nice sites.

Most of all, enjoy

Your 3 day journey makes my brief 8 hour trip from Georgia seem easy!

Thanks for the update.

We will be there on Sat, April 25th, and have requested 1400 loop; however, with new upgrades, we're thinking loop 500 or 600. How do they look?. We have a 32 foot TT with slides, a little worried about the tightness of the loop. We've stayed there 4 or 5 times before but never with a trailer as large as the one we have now. Heard through one of these threads that 700 loop is shady and large sites. Can you advise?.

Also, your son's birthday is on the same day as mine (April 21st), so he must be OK!! :). :cool1:

Great news about the crowds!! We're pumped. I'll get nothing done at work this week!!:yay::yay:

Have a great trip and any help on selecting site would be greatly appreciated!! popcorn::

If you get a chance can you post pics of sites 401 and 402? Glad your having a good time.

Gosh, I hope you continue to have a wonderful stay after the struggle you had of getting down here. :) I agree their is something about arriving at the gates, though for hubby and I the tension isn't fully realeased till check in, cause we are always worried we will get a CM's who don't know what their doing and struggle with the check in process and that stress me a little. I am sure it's just a lack of patience on my part.

Anyway, I am jealous you'll be staying there so long. I'll only be popping in for two days so I won't have much time to visit cause' one whole day will be spent at MK, which is a first in a long time for me. ;)
Thanks for the information on the park crowds, I was a wondering when the crowds would slack up a bit. I was afraid I'd just be wondering around the park all day and not riding anything as again I am sure it's a patience thing, but I refuse to stand in line for over 45 minutes for a ride that I have ridden on more times than I want to admit too.

It'll be my birthday, so I am sure they'll put me somewhere on the 800 loop like I requested, so look for my Lime green Disney Fort Fiends sign on my Mickey Lamp post and say "hi" if you catch me. ;0)
