We have a new favorite - CS!!

Your report was great....we will be there in 52 days.......:smooth:

and I am glad to hear you liked the Casitas.....thats where we were thinking of requesting

MNT568,
Thanks for the great report. I am about to make my reservations and was thinking about CBR, but you might have changed my mind. I'm going to take another look at CSR. It sounds really great from your descriptions.

Last year I had my heart set on CBR, so we booked it and we loved it. Days before we left, I read lots of great stuff about CSR and thought if I got a code for this April, we'd go to CSR and WE DID! So in 38 days we are off to CSR, we are thrilled about it! If it weren't for Buzz and Steve H, I think I would have chickened out and gone back to CBR because we were comfy there.

38 days! YIPPY! S

I like Coronado too. although I went at a BAD time. The resort all in all was beautiful. And I loved the Pepper Market. :D

Thank You for your helpful answers! They are much appreciated :D :bounce: :jester:

I'm trying to talk my extended family into trying out CSR for our next trip in October. They are shying away because it's been labeled a convention center resort. When there are 3-4 conventions going on, does the place seem more crowded at certain times/locations, or do the conventions actually keep the place pretty empty (as everyone is in the convention area)

Even if we can't get them to join us there, we're thinking of splitting our stay between CBR (where they want to stay) and CSR. Which one should we stay at first?

Schmeck, there were 3 or 4 conventions going on while we were there and one of them was IBM. The only time we noticed the convention people was in the morning when they were heading into their meetings and in the evenings when the meetings ususally broke up for the day. I think that they even had their meals in the convention center because the Pepper Market was never crowded. In the evenings you would see some of the convention people in the lounge. I think that the conventions actually mage the resort seem empty.

We'll be at CSR in October. The only thing I'm a little concerned about is if there'll be some kids at the pool for my DGD to play with. She'll a social butterfly! Last April, we stayed at ASMu and she met lots of friends....some who didn't even speak english, but they were fast friends anyway! All of the pitures I've seen of the CSR pool, it always looks deserted. Are there plenty of families with children there?

My DD is the same way. There will be plenty of kids. And she will love the playground and pool slide. Sometimes I wonder if my DD loves WDW or the pool better.

Thanks for the info, MNT568! I think we'll do CBR first, then spend our last few days at CSR.

I have to agree with all the positive posts about CSR. After staying at CBR for many trips, we decided last year to try CSR in March. We were really impressed. I know trying something different than you are already used to is sometimes hard. We loved CSR. We had another trip to Disney in July and stayed there again because of a great rate. Thanks to posts here and on MOUSESAVERS, we are going again next week. I must mention that we rarely saw business people. It seemed much more a family resort area to us. We only ate breakfast a few times at the Pepper Market, so that may be the reason. Most days, we stayed around the Dig Site and quiet pool areas. Many posters have complained about the 10% gratuity. It really isn't that big a deal. What is nice about Pepper Market, is the fact that I could get hashbrowns and bacon at one place, fruit at another, and maybe a danish at the bakery. There was a wide variety of individual items available everywhere. Plus, you only have one time to pay - at check out. That part is really nice. The kids would have their ticket stamped at whatever they wanted, and then we would pay at the end of the meal. There is certainly plenty to do there for the younger children and older ones, too. You won't be sorry about trying CSR.
