We have a Garden view room at GF - should I make any requests?

Is one garden view preferable over another at the GF? Other than non-smoking, I haven't requested anything specific.

I really dont think there are many "bad" views at the GF. We were just there and we had a garden view we were in Boca Chica 8304 it was of the quite pool and a bit of the top of the pool bar.
So I would say Boca chica is a nice bld as far as a Garden view.

It probably comes down to two things.

1) Would you like a view of the monorail whizzing by (some kids love this)? If so, request Sago Cay.

2) What do you want to be closest to? Bus Stop/Gasparilla's - Sago Cay. Boat dock after long days in MK - Conch. Themed pool and main building - Big Pine. A little of everything/don't care - Boca Chica.

There is a slightly different garden view available in Conch and Sago Cay - that looks out to the marina inlet from the lagoon. It's still garden view category, but a little different viewing.

You're not going to be looking at a parking lot in any of the buildings. So there aren't really better/worse garden views. It's more about the location of the building, and even the location isn't a big deal because the resort buildings are not that spread out. 5 minute walk max from anywhere on the resort to any other point.

I didn't realize that Conch Key had the marina views also. That is definitely what I would request, as you can probably see the castle and/or the fireworks from some of those rooms.

I don't think you can see the castle from the Conch marina rooms. But I think DW did stand out on the patio and watch at least part of the fireworks before.

I agree with Snurk71 regarding the Conch Key marina view rooms -- you won't be able to see the castle (unless maybe you hung out over your balcony, which no one should ever do for safety reasons). From Conch Key's marina rooms, you probably can see some of the fireworks show (the outermost fireworks), but it's way more fun to view them from the Water Taxi Dock.

Bizeemom4, don't worry about requesting anything further than what you've already requested. You've got the important one noted and that is "non-smoking." No matter where your Garden View Room is located, I'm sure it will be lovely. Have a wonderful vacation.
