We have 5 Cruises booked!

Just a few more and you can catch up with us!
We have 8 booked for this year and several (I think 8 more) booked in 2003. Number 20 will be next Thurs., and I am excitedly counting down the hours. We will just miss you in Aug., as we board the Wonder that Thurs. for three cruises in a row...it will be Heaven.
Isn't Disney cruising a great addiction?!

OK So this time I'll ask the question everyone wants to know. Are you a TA and are they 3,4 or 7 night cruises? Like it matters LOL

Lucky You

See you on Oct. 19.
Dh and I are anxiously awaiting the opportunity to share cruising with our 3 year old.
can't wait.

HOW BORING! How many times can one go to the same ports? With so much out there in this great country and world to see and do, why on earth would anyone want to do nothing but cruise on Disney. I am nuts about Disney, own 548 DVC points, go to Disney World every year, and enjoyed our recent seven days on the Magic, but to do it five times in one year? Big yawn!! People, broaden your horizons! Show your children there's more to life and this world than the possibly magical but very unreal world of Disney.

I wish I was as fortunate as Barb. DW and I will be on our first DCL (3N Wonder) in May, we have already book a 4N for Dec. I could see why Barb would do 19 DCL. I'm sure that Barb and others are just exactly like myself, when I go on vacation, I don't want to worry about finding a "perfect" resturant, then having to drive all over town getting lost on the interstate. I just wanted to relax, eat, and do the spa thing! DW and I have been to Bangkok for nine times in five years (DW is with me the entire time), and we very much would like to go this year as well (plan to go for Christmas 2002). SPA/SPA/and more SPA! The hotel is quite fine as well, and can't complaint about the service.

HI Folks
Can someone tell me what are DVC points? See this mentioned all over to board. Do you get points for cruising? Are they like Betty Crocker coupons?

Joe & Joanne

No you don't clip them.LOL

DVC is the Disney Vacation Club. You can purchase a timeshare thru disney and their unique system is based on points. You can purchase as little as 150 or I guess as many as you want. For those of us who go to Disney at least once a year usually more. It is a great way to stay at a Deluxe hotel (Boardwalk Villas, Villas at Wilderness Lodge, Old Key West and soon to be Beach Club Villas) at the cost of a Moderate. We joined 4 years ago and have added on to the original amount that we purchased then.

If you have any more questions you can PM me

If Bangkok is your measure for a Disney Cruise, SINK, I can see why you are so taken with Disney Cruises! Dirty, smelly, polluted Bangkok (even the police wear gas masks to direct traffic) is hardy paradise. Have you been to northern Thailand and ridden elephants through the jungles? So many places to go and so much to see. Also, if you think the Disney Cruise lines restaurants are "perfect" you need to buy a Zagots!

Congrats DVCLady!
I'm so glad that you spend your vacations how and where you please!
(don't worry about snobs, they don't understand that concept)

MJ

DVCLady,
Sounds PERFECT to me!!! I love going to Disney World and on Disney Cruises. Hubby and I have been to Disney World 30 times and have cruised with Disney 3 times with a fourth one booked in October. It seems some people can't understand why we love Disney so much. It is just the friendliness and care we receive while there. Hey, when I want to "explore" the World, I go to Epcot. HA HA.

Nana Sue,
Just because we cruise repeatedly on Disney does not mean that we don't vacation plenty of other places too. We do annual dude ranch jaunts out west, we went to Alaska last year, and next year we will be going on an African safari. Just because a person loves Disney does not mean they are "boring" or out of touch with the real world.

I only wish we could cruise more than once a year with DCL!!! No reason to knock anyone else's vacation. We own DVC and go to WDW 4 times a year and love it, but we realize it isn't for everyone. We have this june and Aug 2003 booked for a 7 day and would love to fit in another one. Beth

Different strokes for different folks----ditto what Barb said...we are going on our 4th Disney cruise in May, but over Christmas we flew to Paris (with our 7-year-old)---my 3rd Paris trip---my favorite place in the world! The bottom line is whatever makes you happy...in fact, sometimes, we need an escape from the "real world."

Just a friendly reminder here, we do not allow personal attacks on these boards.

Thank you.

Disney = Quality

that is how we see it u know what u r going to get and it is going to be a great trip for the price u pay .
would do it in heart beat if we could
hey we do we watch Airfares very closely and when ever we can
we pop to disney for the weekend always something to do
we went to wdw 5 times last year of course picking up dvc points from the rent trade board at bargin prices helps
and we do other thing as well..
