The Adventurer's Club is one my favorite things at Disney.

And it was the most fun, hilarious, AWESOME wedding EVER!

Unless all my guests were lying to me :)

(I'm not going to put up any pictures of the Disney actors -- except a couple where you can't really see their faces -- because i'm not sure what the legal issues are. But we had like 7 club member 'characters' interacting with the guests and they were a RIOT!)

Even if you don't have your reception there, you should definitely GO to The Adventurer's Club when you are at Disneyworld. It's so much fun!!! (The only part of Pleasure Island I like - Walt would've been proud of the AC)

PS. Andy wore a tux (Indy's white jacket Temple Of Doom tux) for our Japan ceremony -- then changed into his Indiana Jones adventure gear on the limo ride over to the Adventurer's Club

If you have your reception at the Adventurer's Club, tell them Andy & Lisa sent you ;)

KUNGALOOSH!

Thank you so much for putting those up. It looks like it was such a fantastic time!!! I'm still debating on whether or not I want to do something like this. My main worry is my guest reaction. I don't have a lot of fun-loving people who are to be invited. But maybe after a few drinks, they'd get more into it... :goodvibes

From everything I've seen of your wedding, it sounds like you had the wedding of MY dreams! I'm so jealous!! ;)

Wow...looks like you guys had a great time! We want to have our rehearsal dinner at the adventurers club! Your DH looks like he's having so much fun all dressed up. My DF wants to dress like Capt. Jack Sparrow for our wedding :scared1: My mom and I are having a heart attack about it lol Congrats on your wedding!

...the disney actors will draw them out i'm sure :)

My goal was to throw the most fun wedding anyone had ever been to (i've been to SO MANY weddings and it's always the same story, with different people)

also i didn't want any of the typical traditions: Chicken Dance, Garter Throwing, etc. (Although the characters probably would have made both of those highly amusing)

And, call me crazy, but i didn't want dancing. For a couple reasons. It's a bummer for people who are there with no one to dance with... AND i'm not really into DJs. Maybe if we could've afforded a 40 piece swing orchestra.

So we only had a song for our first dance. (A muppets song.)

Instead our entertainment was the whacky wonderful world and 'members' of the adventurer's club.

But then, Andy and I are mentally about 12 so I guess our kind of wedding is not for everyone!

I do think a Morroco Ceremony and a Great Movie Ride reception would be another awesome wedding!

:)

...but formalwear for the ceremony :)

you are going to be a gorgeous bride and he will be a hot pirate !

;)

post a TR of your Wedding and Reception!!! I really considered doing our ceremony at the WP and our reception at the Adventurer's Club! I would love to hear all about it!

Even though we are not going to do our reception there, I think we are going to arrange an adult meeting there for one of the nights after our VR.

Thanks!:goodvibes All my talk about the wedding is making him crazy- instead of a first dance he wants to do a coreographed sword fight!

Oh my gosh - I totally wanted to do this, but at the altar! I wanted it to be like the wedding in Pirates of the Caribbean III, where we're saying our vows as we fight off sword-wielding pirates. But DF told me there was no way to do this and have it not look incredibly cheesy. :sad1:

(That's the Adventurers Club's old-style souvenir cups -- a.k.a., Monkey Heads, or as we like to call them, Monkey Balls.)

My family loves the Adventurers Club. It sounds like you had a very fun event at the club (how could you not in such a wild place like that?!). Thank you for sharing your photos.

Congratulations on your recent marriage! I wish you all the happiness in the world.

I would have never even thought about having the reception at the Adventurer's Club! How fun!! We discovered the AC on our honeymoon in 2002. We make sure that we get there at least once, if not more, on every trip! I love the AC! You've given me ideas for a vow renewal...lol

Kungaloosh!!!

your wedding looks so fun! DF and i are big kids but my family wouldn't go for anything like this...although if i can incorporate Pirates into my wedding somehow i will TOTALLY do it :scratchin

I worked in Disney this past spring (in Pleasure Island) and my favorite place to work was the Adventurer's Club! The most interesting people come to visit, and the actors are great (I recognized some, LOL! :lmao: ) Looks like you had a great time! What a fun idea!
