My DH and I are going to Disney at the end of April to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary....without the kids! :) We have booked the platinum plan too! The last couple of days we have been calling at, or before, 7 am to try to get the Chef's Table at Victoria & Albert's. We have failed the last 2 mornings. This has also been with our travel agent and platinum planner trying as well. This morning we tried again, and did not get it. But then got a quick e-mail from our planner that he was able to get it for us! We are so excited!!! My DH proposed at V&A's back in October 1996. We have gone to celebrate our 3rd and 5th Anniversaries and once with my family. So it holds a special place in our hearts. This will make our trip such a wonderful experience! :)

Congrats! Congrats on your 10 years AND snagging the Chef's Table for your trip!

We just dined at V&A's (regular menu) for the first time in May '07 for our 10 year anniversary. Our trip was also child free. It was so special. I am envious that you have been to V&A's so often, and that you were actually proposed to there! That ensures many repeat visits.

I am sure you will be counting down the minutes til your trip. I can't wait to hear all about it in April!

Thanks wildernesslodgelover! We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge for our trip! When we did our "engagement" trip we stayed a couple of nights in the honeymoon suite at the Wilderness Lodge. We also spent a couple of nights over at the honeymoon floor at the Grand Floridian. Ah, that was a great trip! :)

WOW!:thumbsup2
How great for you.
We tried and tried to get chefs table for Nov.29 (32 anni.) with no luck.
And we had Poly concierge working to get it!
So we had to get the regular V&As:) .
How do you get the chefs table meal for regular seating? I am definitely going to get this!!! How far ahead do I have to call them?

I have a Chef's Table question.... is it just a private table, or do they seat a number of people there? If you are just a party of 2, do they seat people you don't know with you and make it say a table of 8? Just wondering if it is private or like the Biergarten where you might be with others to fill the table. Thanks!:goodvibes

Congratulations!! I'm so happy for you!

Make sure you write a review when you return!

Congratulations! You will love it!

Be sure to post a review for the rest of us foodies when you get home! :thumbsup2

hmillerbarilla-I was under the impression that you shared it with other guests if there was only 2 in your party. But apparently whoever books it, no matter the size of the party, has it to themselves. I'm kind of excited to know that we won't be sharing our experience. I would have sucked it up, mind you. ;) But I'm happy that it will be just me and my DH! :)

Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary and scoring the chef's table! Do I need to say we want a review when you get back?:woohoo:

I am there for my 3rd anniversary in less than a month!! I too was under the seating arrangement misconception until I reserved!! I too am super excited that it'll be just the 2 of us!!

We ate at the Chef's Table a couple of year's ago. Unless they've changed it, you walk through the kitchen to the back where there's a big woodden "kitchen table" that could seat up to 6. You look out intothe kitchen and get to watch all the cef's at work. Only our group of three was there. We were brought samples of everything on the menu. It was definately a good time. However, I found the atmosphere not near as nice as the dining room. If you're looking for quiet romance I'd recomend the dining room. If you're a food and wine conesoir looking for a great experience I'd recomend the chef's table.

Thanks for the advice rphjr! :) We actually have eaten in the main dining room 4 times already. My DH has been dying to try the Chef's Table since our first visit at Victoria & Albert's. We are looking for the experience more than a romantic dinner. I'm sure that this will be our one and only chance to try the Chef's Table. And we will be happy to go back to the main dining room the next time! ;)

I can't wait I'm going the end of April to. I booked V& A I for Fri 4/25.
It's a suprise trip for my husband to celebrate our 25th anninversary.I booked the plat plan to. So glad you like it there. I could never go there we have five boys. This is our first time going away with out kids to Disney. Can't wait! Happy Anniversary to you.

My wife and I did the Chef's Table in January 2006. I can confirm (at that time at least) that you could reserve it for a party of 2. We split the wine pairing...it was the only way we were able to walk out under our own power :rotfl2: .
