We got our windows yesterday!

And what a mess!!! They were here from 8-6 with no break. The tore out all the existing first.....They look really good. The new bay window is really nice.....it is all oak and will have to be stained. I am sure it will look even better afterwards.

We (DH, me, 2 DD's and their friend who spent the night) spent the whole day outside sitting in the driveway to stay out of the way. I took the dog to my moms It was a LONG day....actually doing absolutely nothing....we were pooped out by the end of the day!!!!

They did a good job. I had almond vinyl in and out with wood trim and sills. The outside trim color is cranberry which matches our siding on the house (trim is cranberry and siding is almond)..

Anyway.....QUESTION......they used white caulking between the windows and the sills on the inside. I found that quite odd and wondered why they didn't use almond colored caulk. I have a call into service to check on it......Anyone have almond windows installed lately.....what inside caulk color did they use???

and they were white..and they used white caulk..I would assume that they would use the color caulk that matches your windows..therefore almond color should have been used with yours?..call the company who installed them and ask..can't hurt!..good luck with your new windows..and so glad that they cleaned up real well..we weren't so lucky!

Sorry, can't help you yet Lisa but, thanks for posting this as, I now will have another thought/question for whoever does our new windows. Hopefully we'll get out this weekend and, start looking at choices!

I'm envious of your new windows! I'll bet they're lovely!
