We got our court date!!!!!!!

We brought our beautiful daughter home on October 28th and her adoption will be finalized on May 16th! We leave for Disney the next day. What a wonderful place to celebrate!!!!!!!

Just curious...and no need to answer if it's not my business..

Where did you adopt from? US or International? I know people who have done both and it has been wonderful to see how happy these families are. My kids (4 & 8) have a cousin (almost 4) who was adopted from Korea when he was an infant. It's wonderful that they don't see him as "different" (due to the way he looks or how he came into our family) but just as their cousin.

Congratulations!! Make sure you have a tissue handy when the judge declares the adoption official. Our DD (3 1/2) is from China and we were home with her for almost a year before our readoption hearing. I didn't anticipate that emotionally it would be such a big deal for me, but it was.

Believe me, I am ready for the tears of joy. I tear up now just thinking about Kaleigh being ours legally.
We actually booked this trip last August. We found out about Kaleigh 1 week before we were leaving on a 2 week Disney cruise in October. We adopted her locally. We saw her for the 1st time when she was 9 days old. We did go on our cruises and made a bunch of DIS friends. We brought Kaleigh home the day after we returned.
Now we get to make her legal the day before we leave on another Disney trip, Kaleigh's 2nd. She loves Pooh!
