I apologize if this has been answered before... I tried searching other forums but couldn't seem to get the answer I was looking for!

We received our AP vouchers in the mail and are trying to book our planning session. Due to costs, we want to activate our vouchers in Jan. during our planning session to visit the parks and then use them again during our wedding in August.

My question is a.) how do you book a vacation as an AP holder? can anyone give me a direct link? do you have to call? I've found the info page on AP's but it's only to buy them, not if you already have them!
and b.) Can you have FREE dining with AP's? I've seen every answer from absolutely no to yes.... but it all leads back to my original question of how do you book?!
I know some of you ladies are absolute super booking dicount gurus so I'm reaching out!:flower3:

a.) You most likely have to call and let them know that you are AP holders. :)
b.) No, there is no free dining with the annual passes. I wish! If you want discounted dining, try going with the dining plan, I've heard it's a pretty good deal.

I called last week after booking our resorts, wanting to add the dining plan, and I was told that I would have to wait until they released the passholders discount. They had just recently released them, and I'd have to wait until January. :/

You can buy the Tables in Wonderland with your AP. In my opinion, you'll probably save more using that than by purchasing the dining plan. The only way to get free dining is to purchase a package with tickets. There's a minimum number of days of tickets that you need to buy. Depending on the length of your stay, it might be cheaper to buy the tickets than to buy the dining plan for the length of your stay.

At the top of the Disney World page there is a tab labelled Passholders. Log in there, enter the number on the back of your voucher. It may take a few tries to get the right configuration that the website will accept. then you can look at the AP rates being offered currently and book through there.

This may sound very cheeky, but as we will get AP's with our escape package when we finally do it, can we buy a tables in wonderland card and use it off our group meal at the Cali Grill if we just do a normal sit down dinner? Or would only the passholders get the discount no the whole table?

Sorry forgot to add - we will be paying the bill!

There's a maximum number of people it will cover..I think 10?

Thanks so much ladies! I guess it just doesn't make sense in my eyes that you can't add free dining, because if you book a room (non-discounted) and have ap passes (they are tickets!), that is a package. I've read now on several sites that you can have free dining as long as you don't have a discounted room (no doubling), I'll have to call and check!

It might also be worth noting that as a passholder you can add a dining plan to your room only reservation without needing to buy tickets. I would HIGHLY recommend that if you are someone who needs to have the Dining plan, that you compare the cost of a passholder discounted room plus the cost of adding on the dining plan, to that of the rack rate room plus minimum tickets to get the free dining.

Odds are pretty good that you will end up spending less on the discounted room rate and regular dining plan cost than spending the $$ for the room at rack rates. (Passholders often get anywhere from 30%-45% off the rack rate depending on the resort class)

Firefly or any other poster:

I found the passholder screen where you choose what type. I chose type 3, that matches the closest. However I entered the date, the wts, the 3 digit number, but it won't accept anything I put in the last entry field. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I know from my own experience and what i've read from others with AP's, sometimes it's a bit tricky figuring out how to input the numbers the way the system likes them.

What the last field specifically again? is that the expiration/purchase date? with you having vouchers, can you leave that field empty? or maybe there is a date on there someplace?
