We got Magic Bands! Yay!

We go on October 21st staying at SSR, found out today we got magic bands. Cannot believe how excited this made me!
My Sister is staying at CBR and hasn't got them which is sad but I am keeping my fingers crossed for her.

I'm right there with ya! I was dancing around my front room on Friday when I saw we had them in MDE. We're staying at SSR too but we don't arrive until the 29th October. So exciting!!!

How do you know you got them? We are leaving for AKL in three weeks, and last night we checked on our MDE page. We had a note on it telling us to confirm details for magic bands. My wife spent ages personalising each magic band for us all, and confirmed details. She got very excited about it, but today has logged on and the magic band link is no longer available. Is this just the system updating, or are there no guarantees that we will definitely receive magic bands.

Just read this on another site, testing is expanding to more resorts in October, with nearly all resorts now being involved.

As with the previous tests, the full list of MyMagic+ capabilities will be on offer, including FastPass+, 'touch-to-enter,' 'touch to pay,' and touch room entry.

Also states 1st November might be the official launch of MyMagic+. Disney representatives have frequently cited the 1st quarter of the 2014 fiscal year as a projected launch. The fiscal 1st quarter runs from October - December, 2013.

Testing dates through the end of October 2013.

Just back from Disney and these magic bands not working to well at the moment for entry to the parks, on many occasions we found the chip in the bands are not being read and instead of getting the green light to enter you get a blue light which does not allow entry; you then have to show id to the cast member and they will re set the band and sometimes it takes a while to read before you get the green light. This holds everyone up in the queue and entry to the park at times is slow. No doubt Disney will eventually sort this out but it happened to us for our entire two week stay. Also some quests had pre booked their fast passers but again when entering the fast pass line and scanning their band it did not read that they had a pass.

Yes, we stayed at POFQ but guests staying at PORS had the bands. The problem also affected me on a couple occasions with KTTW card too.
