We are new New DVC Members. We just mailed our paperwork today.
150 points at BCV :cool1:

Last June, we toured SSR and were really impressed with DVC. We signed the paperwork and left our deposit. After we returned home, I had second thoughts about SSR. After reading many posts about buying where you want to stay, I called our guide and told him my concerns.

He knew I really wanted BCV and told me that he would keep me in mind if anything came up. After 8 LONG months of waiting, the paperwork came last week. What a surprise!

150 points at BCV, $89 a point April use year.

Only 1 problem......I have 150 points I have to use by the end of April or I lose them. Airfare is extremely high during that time. Any suggestions? :confused3 Thanks for your help!

Congratulations and welcome home!

If you have an April use year, you have to use the points by the end of March, not the end of April. Since it is so late in your 2004 use year, you probably will not be able to use the 2004 points before they expire. If so, just concentrate on all the fun you'll have going forward.

Do call MS and see if you can do a late deposit to II. That's the only think I can think of tht might allow you some use for your 2004 points. You can't make a non-DVC reservation and travel during the last 60 days of your use year, so II is probably the only possibility and I'm not sure if you can do that, either). I doubt you'll be able to rent the 2004 points as availabilityfor DVC rooms is probably pretty close to non-existent for the rest of March.

Best wishes -

Congrats and welcome home!

Why don't you sell them distressed for $5 a point? You might be surprised how many people are able to take last minute vacations. If nothing else, you will make a few bucks on them.

Congratulations and Welcome Home!

Welcome...

Make sure to call MS... I saw postings that number of people in the same situation as you are were allowed to bank points... I am sure they will understand that there is no way that you can use the point before they expire...

Give a shot... Nothing to loose, but few mintues of your time....

Congratulations!!!

8 months on the waitlist is NOT BAD for BCV!!!

I am on the waitlist...I hope it comes thru soon!!!

Hi,

Welcome home neighbor!!!

Allison

Congratulations!! You have good reason to be excited.

Keep checking airfares up to the 2 week window. Sometimes they drop. Do you have friends that may be able to use them -- especially friends that live in Florida or near Hilton Head. Check airfares to Charelstqn or Savannah or even Atlanta -- maybe you could drive to Hilton Head from there. Although it may be hard to get lest minute reservations this time of year.

I would offer to use them but our airfare is high, too. Sorry. :rotfl:
