So here is my happy story....
About 3-4 weeks ago I was checking out the ticketmaster site to see which Dis On Ice was coming to Vancouver this year - well it wasn't listed, but did list it was coming to Kelowna (town about 4.5 hrs east of Vancouver). I am a curious sort, so checked out the prices. I was in SHOCK! The ice level seats were only 16 bucks and the seats in the stands ranged from 6-12 bucks!! HOLY COW!! I was so jealous of the Kelowna people getting those great ticket prices!! I didn't give it much thought after that.
Well... a few days later my ticketmaster update mail came in and said that toy story 2 on ice was coming to Vancouver - and it was arriving about 3 days after it was in Kelowna. I went to the site, and found that tickets for Vancouver were 55.00 for ice level and 35-45 for the stands. WHOA is Vancouver ever being ripped off by Disney or what!!??!!!
So.....since I am a 'kaos creator' and quite a bold person - I emailed Dis on Ice and complain - asking why such a HUGE price difference - I could understand a couple bucks - but this was 40 bucks difference!! They told me the tickets for Kelowna were 25-45 and I was wrong. Sooooo...... I gave them the url's to the tickets selling on ticketmaster (and almost sold out) with those nice little prices. I guess I caught some really really HUGE computer error for them. The tickets were not even suppossed to be on sale (can you imagine being the person who made that mistake???eek!). So....they said thanks for alerting us! - Nah - not good enough for me - knowing the billiions of dollars Disney rakes in each year, I am sure they would like to 'reward' a poor single mom and her 6 yr old daughter with a couple of Vancouver tickets - so I emailed and ASKED for them to send a little pixie dust our way. I included my phone number. Well - about 30 mins later my phone rang.....was disney on ice - offering me a free pair of tickets in the Disney Exec section!!!! WOOHOO!!! We have ice level seats, front row!!! I am so excited!! I even got to pick which show we wanted to see!!!
just thought I would pass this good news on - and tell everyone to be BOLD and ask for what you want - or you might never get it!!!!
