We got BLT studio/standard @ 7 month mark!

We were able to get BLT standard studio at the 7 month mark. We were very surprised! We will be staying for our 1st night, which will be awesome for fireworks and meals. Then we check into AKV 1 bed for 8 nights, and still hoping for BWV 1 bed for last 3 nights.

So, for those of you hoping for BLT @ 7 months - it's possible! Of course it depends upon what time of year you travel, but magic does happen.

Congrats! I called 7 months out, too, and we got a whole week in a BLV studio! At Spring Break, no less! So there's hope for all times of the year!

Thanks! We really do love split stays as they allow us to swim in more pools, closer access to parks and switch up our dining. We talked about this next trip just staying in either of our home resorts (SSR & AKV) for the entire 13 days, but we just couldn't do it as they are both too far away from parks (except of course AKV, but you have to travel to that park regardless of where you are staying!). With young kids, we absolutely love the Epcot area best, followed by MK area.

Were you trying for just one night, or did you try for more nights but find that only a single night was available?

We were only trying for 1 night, so I'm not sure what availability is for other nights? I can't for the life of me figure out how to use the DVC availability board, so not sure if there is availability past our date or not.

I recently booked 2 different week long stays at BLT. One trip is for mid June and the other is July 4 week. I called the morning that my 7 month window opened for each trip and easily reserved a 2-Bedroom Bay Lake View both times. I also called at the 7 month window and reserved 2 Studios for the Food and Wine Festival this past October and had no problems. What's amazing is I called to change my 2 Studio reservation to a 2-Bedroom Villa at 3 months out and was successful. Either I've been super lucky or a lot of people are not calling as soon as their 7 month window opens.

We also got a 2 bdrm lakeview at the 7 month window for 1/3/10 thru 1/8/10. I think we need to remember BLT isn't completely sold yet. Once it's sold out the 7 month window probably will be much more difficult to get. That's one of the reasons we decided to stay there for this visit since we have no plans to buy points there and know it will be more difficult in the future.
