So we went in yesterday to look for a Trailblazer or another SUV. We test drove several different vehicles and looked at a lot of different options.

We test drove a Freestyle though and we were sold!

Its an 06 and in great shape. Im really happy to be out of the mini van!

This is like mine but mine is red

Congratulations -- I have one too. Mine is the same color as the one you posted. I love it -- it has more room than my Durango did. You will thoroughly enjoy it. (I am loving the gas mileage)!!! :goodvibes

I thought they could have given it a better name however. . . to me it always sounds like a brand name of a feminine hygiene product.

LOL
well I always think of NCL commercials when I hear it now ( Im a TA so I hear it a lot LOL)

Feminine products though.... :rotfl:

We got our Nov 05 its an 06 model AWD we love ours great car just wonder why they dont market it better? I've heard that Ford is going to stop making it and it will be a Lincoln/Mercury Model only and named something else.

Did you really? That's ashame. When I got mine -- I was the only person -- now you see them everywhere. IMHO, I think it is a GREAT family car. Wonder if it has anything to do with Ford's losses?

The salesman told me that they are Volvos anyway. Thats why the safety rating is so good.

That looks nice! How many does it seat? My oldest is now in college and owns her own car, but I'm still finding myself, with two teenagers still at home, with a carload (minivanload) of kids at times.

And binny...you ARE going to keep it cleaned out and organnized, aren't you? :rolleyes1

LOL Mare!
It actually seats 7 fairly comfortably. There is lots of leg room back there but I can see getting in and out might be an issue if you needed an older person ( read our age LOL) back there.

The back (trunk) has every bit as much room as my grand Caravan. We were looking at a Suzuki and whle it was fun to drive I could not see doing a Costco run in it with all 3 kids!

I don't sit in the backseat ever (makes me feel carsick  )...anyone else, that's their problem. ;) Sometimes I have to take my mom out to Dr's appts, and what a strain it is for her to get in the FRONT seat.

Ours seats 8, but I really don't need 8 now. Before, when all the kids were in the back, each of the 3 could bring a friend. Now, I don't remember when oldest DD was in my car. :confused3

But about organizing...do you have car organizing ideas on The Scary Organizing Thread? It's just that I have stuff in there that I NEED (yes, I NEED, I tell my DH, who has a spotless company car) for myself and the kids "just in case". Really...NEED. ::yes:: We're driving his company car (no kids) to WDW, and I can just hear the "no eating in the car rule" now. In my car, you can probably find food (hopefully still in a package :rotfl: ) somewhere in the car, if you really wanted to. ;)

and it looks just like the one you posted! So far I like it a lot.

I got an 06 last year. I'm so in love with my car. Dh is finally warming up to it. At first he didn't like the look of it! Mine has the second row captain chairs so it makes it easier to get into the back row.

You'll love the gas mileage on it too.

What's the gas milage on the Freestyle? I'm going to need a vehicle that can tote my table and massage chair to places, but the Dbf doesn't want one that isn't economical.

mileage is awesome 20/city 27/highway.
I have the captains chairs in the second row too theyre a very nice feature.

This is like mine colour and all

The kids really seem to be enjoying it as well. I love how it doesnt feel like its shifting! You can gun it and never feel the shift at all. Its a very smooth ride.

Congrats! I've had one for a month now and LOVE IT! I have to tell you I was kicking and screaming about not getting another Explorer. Now, I don't know what I was thinking. My Freestyle is better in the snow/ice, and is getting A LOT better gas mileage, along with more people room when we need it.

I wanted the second row captain's chairs. To get the discounts/a plan/other options I needed I had to go with the bench seating. It has worked out fine.

Congrats and enjoy!

We just got our 06 Freestyle a month ago and we love it. I like how it drives like a car and not a SUV. Ours is the navy/silver combo. We just bought the console to go between the middle two seats, to finish it off, and we plan to use the car to go on a lot of college hunting road trips this spring and summer.

It has handled well in all the snow and ice we've had here in Colorado this winter.

Mare I use a lot of Baggies in my car. One for make up, one for 1st aid and bandaids etc. whatever you need. That makes a big difference in keeping a clean car.

does anyone have the shelf that goes in the back? At least Im assuming thats what that bar area is for. Our salesman didnt know.

Enjoy your new car, Binny. :)
I think the Freestyles are really cute. Didn't know they fit 7.
