we got a free upgrade!!!

I'm so excited! We got a call last night around 9 pm from Disney asking if we were interested in a free upgrade from All Star Movies to the Yacht Club! Of course I said YES! We leave tomorrow!!!

It's funny that you say Disney asked you if you "were interested" in switching to YC. Would anyone turn down a free upgrade from a Value to a Deluxe?

But you are aware that the Stormalong Bay feature pool is closed! I just wanted to make sure you are aware! But I have stayed at YC ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

"The Stormalong Bay feature pool will be under refurbishment from Jan 5 through mid-April 2009. During this time, Guests may continue to use the three leisure pools located throughout the Resort. In addition, the feature pool at Disney's BoardWalk Resort will be available for Guests who wish to have a slide as part of the pool experience."

EDITED Maybe I should have read it fully that 3 pools are still availble....No biggie than. Still keeping the info there just in case you didn't know!

Maybe they felt bad for us since we're traveling for our anniversary (no kids this time) during Spring Break ...I think we just got lucky. The CM who called me said that they got a list of people they could call to offer the upgrade, but they had to wait until 9 pm to call. She said she couldn't wait to make the calls...she seemed as excited as I was. She didn't really give a reason for the upgrade even though I asked. She just said we were on the list!

You can use the pool at BWI I believe, plus theres like 6 other pools at YC/BC

Thanks, Yes, I know that Stormalong Bay is closed, but since it's just my husband and I we weren't planning on swimming, so that's no problem.

Oh goodie! Again I didn't want to be a downer I just didn't want you going there excited maybe about Stormalong and get there and it was closed! Yahoo! Sooo happy for you!

Awesome for you! We love YC -- I hope you have a fantastic trip. If you are cheeseburger fan, don't miss the takeout at Hurricane Hannahs! (Also, I know you mentioned not an issue, but we were there Sunday and SAB was mostly open, just the kiddie pool was closed.)

Oh, I hope they call you too Not sure why they had to wait until 9:00...unless their phones are slower and they can spare the CM making the calls? Have a great trip!
