Which options have you all used? We won't need bottled water but mostly breakfast foods and snacks for the parks. Which is the best service for food/grocery delivery? Are there other options besides We Go and Garden Grocer?
Thanks!

we used wegoshop because I wanted to be specific on our needs and the store they came from.

Our stuff was as ordered, arrived exactly on time to our room, unloaded into the kitchen for us and was the easiest grocery shopping I've ever done! :thumbsup2

I just as a very easy comparison added some (not all and they don't even offer some of what we ordered so I had to sub as close as possible) things to the gardengrocer cart and I'm already more expensive than wegoshop total and delivery fee. I still have 4 or 5 more things to add.

We used Garden Grocer last year with great results and I've already ordered for this year's trip.

We have used garden grocer 4 years in a row with no problems. the prices are a bit more...but when we have gone to markets local to disney property to pick up extras we need by the end of the trip (we go for ten night so have to replenish things like friut ect.)the prices seem to be much higher then what i pay here in RI

I just ordered from Garden Grocer for our September trip. It was quick, easy and totally worth the 12.00 delvery fee IMO. For the things that we needed it was pretty much around the same money I would pay for them at home. DH thinks it is a treat he is going to get name brand PB- we normally buy the store brand! LOL

I plan on ordering water and breakfast food from Garden Grocer for our July 4th visit, how early should I place my order?

I ordered from Staples.com

I ordered water, juice, cookies and coke...free shipping with $50.00...

We've used WeGoShop the last four visits, and have had wonderful experience using them. Their always on time, pleasent, and have always been able to get everything we requisted. We're again using them for our October trip. I've about finished making out our order and email it to them.

Wegoshop worked great for us. The order was exactly right and the service was great! I just couldn't stomach the high grocery prices on Garden Grocer. Even though the wegoshop delivery fee is more, I'm pretty sure it cost us less than Garden Grocer would have. --Katie

Maybe this is a dumb question, but if we order from wegoshop, do we have to be at the resort when they drop the items off? Or do they leave them with bell services? And if they do, what do you do if you order things that need to be refrigerated? I was planning to just pack snacks, etc. in our luggage, but would love to have Gogurts (a food group for my boys), and milk, etc. Not sure how it works!

Yes you will need to be at the resort for them to deliver your groceries. When you place your order, you will need to set a time and date for when you want them to delivere. The day that you arrive, call Marge at WeGoShop, and confirm your resort, room number, and time of delivery. Marge will call your room from the parking lot or lobbyto make sure your there the day of delivery. When she makes the delivery, she will go through it piece by piece with you, and them you can pay by cash or cc.

They actually can leave it with bell services but they cannot leave age restricted purchases with them and they charge a 10% gratuity if they leave it with bell services (plus then you need to tip BS as well). BS has a fridge to store perishables in so that's not an issue.

You have to make an appt time so you'll know when the groceries are coming. And you pick the time so it's not random or anything. We had our stuff delivered at 7pm so it's not 9-5 type of schedule either.

I'm the odd man out here because we shipped what we needed for our last trip. I clipped coupons that wouldn't expire before my shopping trip and made sure to hit our local grocery store on double coupon days. I shipped cereal, breakfast bars, and snacks as well as disposable cutlery, bowls, and plates. I loaded other things in the box to make it worthwhile including diapers and wipes, glow sticks, etc...things I knew we wouldn't bring home. I shipped through UPS so I could track my package. It was a pretty big box and I believe it was around $17 to ship from Milwaukee.

That said, reading all the posts about the other services makes me want to check into those now. It would be nice to get our perishables as well as non-perishables without having to waste time in a grocery in Florida.

Love we go shop! We even ordered strollers! I believe if you call them for a second delivery, they deliver it for free (I think).

Hi we just used We Go Shop this weekend and they were wonderful! You do not have to be at the resort. When you call Marge to schedule your delivery you can give her a CC # and she will take care of it for you. They left our stuff at the bell stand which was great!:thumbsup2

I have a few We Go Shop questions. I know they will substitute when needed, but how do I know what the grocery stores in FL have? We don't have a Publix or even a nearby Walmart grocery store in our area...and Sam's Club is bulk and I don't need bulk items.

For instance I wanted Smuckers PB&J sandwiches. They come in 10pk boxes or 4pk boxes. The grocery store here only sells the 4pk, but our Walmart without the grocery has the 10pk. If they don't have the 10pk box I don't want a substitute of 2-3 4pk boxes because that would be very expensive. Does that make sense?? Would I put in the comment section I do not want a substitute on that particular item?

Also, how do I figure out a budget for We Go Shop?

Sorry -- I don't mean to thread jack, but I'm a bit confused.

Thanks!

Thanks so much for this info! Did you have perishables? Was that a problem at all? And did you have the automatic 10% gratuity someone else mentioned?

We're staying at POP. Our flight gets in at 1:08, so I'm figuring we'll be there between 2:30 and 3 with DME, and we want to just drop off our stuff and head to a park. I don't want to have to wait for the delivery first. So what time would be good to ask for delivery? Would you do it at 2 or so, so it's definitely there before us, or 3, and try to time it so we could maybe be there and get it in person?

Well they follow your directions to the letter. Here's pretty much what my list looked like and I had them shop at Walmart because their prices are pretty standard.

apples: have to be baja or red delicious. We need at least 10. And they can't have any spots or bad areas. The bagged 3lb kind are fine unless they don't all look perfect, by the pound is fine if the bagged don't look good
(ok there was more about the apples and my insanely picky 5 yr old DD! )

grapes: green seedless but only if they are less than $x.xx per pound (grapes were more expensive than my price point so she didn't get them)

bananas: 10 ripe and 10 green as possible

frozen waffles: least expensive brand, blueberry if they have it plain if not

sourdough bread from the bakery section: round and pre-sliced

2lbs turkey bacon: least expensive national brand

2 doz eggs: least expensive

and so on and so forth. I gave them specific brands when I cared as well as what to sub out if they didn't have it and gave specifics on things like the soda because I know a case of soda isn't 24cans in FL it like 18 cans and then a 12pk is actually an 8pk. So I told them I need at least 24 cans.

They use a free form section to make your list in, it's not a check list.

As for pricing, go by your area and add on 10% just to be sure. I est our bill at $30 higher than it was so the prices were lower than I had planned on.
