Well iv gone and done it again we have booked for Aug 2012

16 - 30 Staying at OKW Studio room
Dinning plan and tickets
2 adults direct virgin flights
Only £2000 With Travel City Direct.

I just have some questions tho,
I asked the lady I spoke to if it was the DME and she said she did not think so, why would they not use it its a free service. Any one used TCD and able to comment if they use DME.

Any reviews of the OKW Studio?

As for the DME, as your travel agent they should be able to book this for you. I would call a little nearer the time and get them to add it to your booking for you. Maybe it's too far out to add this at the moment?

Great news, I assume thats per person as the studio & tickets would be around £2k without flights.

This August will be our 3rd stay in an OKW studio but not seen a refurbed room yet, will post pics in 92 days time(we go in 91 days)

I think Virgin provide a shuttle service, probably thru Mears same as DME they seem to run most transport,

We've also recently booked to go back to OKW in August 2012. We also stayed there last August (albeit in an unrefurbished room) so with regard to the studios, we found them perfectly adequate for our needs (self, DW and DD). Some information on the resort is available here.

Two large (queen?) beds in the main area, which incidentally seemed larger than most of the hotel rooms we have stayed in, together with table/chairs and large chest of drawers. The room then has an area which houses the wardrobe on one side and the "kitchenette" on the other side, containing fridge, microwave, coffee maker, sink and small work surface. Further along there is a large bathroom.

The only minor downsides were that the vegetation outside obscured any view from the balcony, and the door that links to the adjacent 1 bed apartment meant that it was sometimes possible to hear guests in that room. We were lucky as we only heard them a couple of times over 12 nights.

We stayed in block 34 opposite the Turtle Shack bus stop and a short stroll from the Turtle Shack Pool which conveniently had the laundry facilities adjacent to it - never before has doing the washing been so pleasureable, lounging by the pool with a couple of drinks whilst waiting for it to finish!!!

Have to admit we never used the main pool so can't comment on this. We didn't eat in the resort other than snacks and our final morning when we got a breakfast from Good's to Go - possibly the worst meal of our entire holiday!!

Yep - was just going to say that!

That's what we do - tell Virgin we've made our own arrangements (rather than take their transfers) and book DME for ourselves.

We're going with VH in October and I was told that use ME??

We went in 09 with them and they operated their own transfers but they told me they now use the Magic Express.

The price is per person, sorry if i coursed confusion, still i think its a good price.

For some info on OKW on the internet and it looks good will be nice to have a little kitchen.

Suppose ever way we get there just DME is such a nice way to start.
