Thanks for all the info and help from all who gave advice on where to go for a romantic weekend with DH. We have decided to go back to Cape May. We did love it in the past, it's not too far and most places only require a 2 night minimum stay. We can only go for 2 nights.

Anyway, I have no idea where to stay. We have been to the Mainstay Inn in one of their suites and loved it. Do we try a different room there or try some place else? I know there are so many great B&B's there so which or how do I choose? Anyone have any recommendations? We definately want a B&B. Someplace with really nice rooms and bathrooms.
TIA

What would I do without this board??!!!:teeth:

I just wanted to piggyback on your post and ask if anyone has any info on the Cape May Zoo. We are staying in Wildwood June 18th-21st and wanted to stop at the Cape May zoo before checking into the hotel on the 18th.

Being born and raised in Cape May....I will second Angels By the Sea....they are my favorite B&B in Cape May

About the zoo, its a free zoo that is easily accessible. There is quite a bit to look at, and a nice park also. Granted it has been about 7yrs since I have been there, but from what I remember, I always enjoyed going. Lots of animals, just a good family place.

Depending on Traffic, its just about 15-20 mins if you take the Parkway. If you decide to go the long way, through Wildwood Crest, well it could take longer. But its easy....But mind you the Zoo in before you get to Wildwood, its in Cape May Court House

This place gets rave reviews!

Angel of The Sea

We stayed here a few years ago. The location was great, the service was wonderful but it was a little overdone for our taste. If you like very ornate furnishings and decor than you'd probably love it. However, it you're into quiet elegance than you might be disapointed. It's the only place we've stayed in Cape May so I can't offer other suggestions.

I have been researching and reading reviews of B&B's in Cape May on the net. Most of the reviews for Angel on the Sea have been negative! Mostly stating tiny rooms and shabby appearance and not so friendly staff. Should I even bother looking into staying here? We have done the tour of the Inn and it seemed very pretty but, that was a few years ago. The reviews I read were as recent as 5/17/04.

Anyone else have any other suggestions?
Anywhere else you would recommend DAX?

I found out about it from the Travel Channel and they seemed to like it.

I wonder if there has been a change of management?
