We debated AKL vs RIV..... we instantly went with RIV after seeing

We had our hearts on AKL on our current trip- scheduled a tour after we checked in- they brought us right to Riviera. My husband did NOT want Riviera when we scheduled the tour.... 90 minutes later, he was in love with it- said “I want riviera now”.... we signed papers (started with 100 points for now- will be adding on in a few years)....

yep- point charts are higher- but the resort is gorgeous- dining is apparently very good- and SKYLINER! We couldn’t be happier.

we’ve made amazing use of our DVC discounts during this week. We’re leaving tomorrow and will likely be scheduling our welcome home trip in the next week or two.

I think RIV will sell out much quicker then originally thought.

Congratulations! I think for the extra time on the contract Riviera makes a lot of sense especially if you like it and plan on keeping it a long time.

Congrats!! We loved it too. If you can swing it you might consider a resale contract at a cheaper resort to use at the older, less pointy resorts.

I debated these resorts two weeks ago for an add-on.... RIV was the quick choice when I realized there were only $3 difference in points and 13 years more in points. I haven't even seen RIV yet.
