I can't believe your trip is so soon! Yay!! I'm so jealous. The good news here is that I can say officially that I'm leaving this dump next month! I have started packing and mailing stuff home. I should be sleeping in my own bed by August 30th!

Congrats on the weight loss. I know how much of a struggle it can be (especially as we get older). I lost 30 lbs a few years back and keeping it off gets more difficult every year. I still haven't come to grips with the fact that I can't eat whatever I want. It makes me mad on a daily basis. Keep up the great work!

Hi all our Dis friends!
Our mom fell and broke her hip yesterday. Today she had severe low blood pressure and is now in the Intensive Care Unit.

She is doing quite poorly. They are hoping to stabilize her overnight and possibly do surgery tomorrow.

We are preparing for the worst but hoping for the best. She's pretty tough but this is quite serious.

I thought you should know since you have been so supportive. Any prayers would be appreciated. We will keep you updated as we know things and have time to post about it.

Hello friends

I thought I would give you a quick update while we're home for a bite to eat (the hospital being a 2 minute drive from our house is a godsend). I know Peg posted last night and after she posted things got worse. They had to intibate her something we were hoping wouldn't happen. The nurse was getting her ready for the night when she turned her on her side and everything dropped...her heart rate her blood oxygen level...not good. Geodoc called to let us know so we were all back at the hospital with only a few hours of sleep. She was also have kidney problems...man oh man, you try and fix one thing and something else goes They are now talking surgery tomorrow or Monday...it all depends how she fares today and tomorrow....we were thanking God this morning that she made it through the night.

We all went to bed early last night and Peg and I will be heading to the hospital by 830am (they do rounds between 730 - 830) and hopefully we'll know if surgery is a go for tomorrow...they told her and I last night that it wouldn't be happening today Thank you and pooksma for all the support!

Thanks my friend...god willing the surgery will be tomorrow. Her numbers on everything were better last night and there were no phone calls so I am on my way out the door in a few minutes to meet Peg and see how the night went.
