We cancelled CSR 9/20-9/27 w/free dining!!!

Just want to alert those who were hoping to switch to CSR w/free dining. This morning we upgraded from CSR to BWI w/free dining for 9/20-9/27. Therefore those dates are now available for CSR w/free dining.

I'm glad you got to upgrade but I don't understand why some are being allowed and others like myself are not. I've called 6 times talked to Guest services and keep getting told it is not allowed with free dining. The same rules should apply to all. Sounds like Disney is partial. Enjoy your trip. I don't mean to sound negitive and I am happy for you.

Do you mean you called CRO (Central Reservations Office) and spoke with someone there who said you couldn't make changes or did you call CRO and ask specifically to speak to Guest Services? I ask because since the date for booking Free Dining is over, CRO staff will not be able to help you. But if you call CRO and ask for Guest Services, they should be able to help you make changes, as long as there is availability at your resort. Just another great tip I learned and used here on the boards! I hope it helps you too!

i have also called and spoken with guest services repeatedly and told ABSOLUTELY NO CHANGES PERMITTED to free dining packages... i wanted to maybe switch from standard to preferred or upgrade to a different resort... they would not even check availability but said NO WAY NO HOW NO QUESTIONS!

I have called almost everyday to get the one day i need, and I made some other minor changes. The only "no" I get is for unavailable dates, like I was able to add to the end of my trip, but not yet the start because nothing is available.

I wish the OP had canceled the 19th...you have the resort right, I just need that one day to finalize my trip

If you already have free dining booked and want to make changes you most certainly can IF it is available. I can tell you the pickings are very slim, the mods are booked solid the week around the 20th
This could be what the cm's are trying to say?
