Yes!!! We are finally going to WDW during Christmas time!!

We usually go around Aug.-Sept. with free dining. (It rocks, huh?) And Hurricanes. More on that later. ;) And since we are so important to Disney (hehe) they sent us an invite for free dining in December!! So we are so excited. Christmas is my favorite time of year and the excitement is building!!

I guess I should tell you a little about my folks...

Dad- Not a Disney Freak. Poor guy, doesn't know what he's missing. :sad2:

Mom- Loves Disney!! Has no problem going every year!

Christen- 21- The ultimate trip planner!! Has all our stuff ready in no time!! :flower3:

Me- 20- Loves all things Disney. :lovestruc Belle is my favorite!

Anna- 16- Disney lover as well. She can't help it! princess:

Jeshua- 7- Disney lover in training. He's coming along nicely. pirate: Sort of.

So, thats all of us. We are all going except for Dad. He doesn't like going every year.

A little blast back in the past... our last trip to be exact. We have a horrible habit of booking our trips during hurricanes. See?

And here is the one who caused all the trouble.

See how its headed straight for Louisiana? We live about 45min. north of New Orleans. We were scheduled to leave on a Tuesday and Gustav was supposed to make land fall the weekend before. Fun, fun. So as we are having a garage sale on Friday (for extra spening money!) we get a call from Southwest saying they were closing the New Orleans airport and if we still wanted to go we could take the last flight out that day! Nothing was going to keep us from going to WDW. So we pick up, bunker down the house, threw our luggage in the car, and headed out within 3 hours!! A friend dropped us off at the airport and we checked in, ran to our gate, and boarded just in time. We were on our way!! 5 days early! I don't think we realized that until we sat on the plane. We had no idea where we were going to go when we landed.

(sigh) Drama.

Check in later for the rest of the story and some info on our upcoming trip!! Thanks!!

Yes, I am on the Dis Board when I should be getting ready for work tommorrow. Guilty. :sad2:

But I just wanted to let ya'll know what happened...

We landed. Yay! Although a bit rough. We then went to a hotel we had stayed at a couple years before. Well, it was NOT the same. We now had houseguests. A.K.A. Roaches. Big ones. And the enviroment outside wasn't too nice. So we left and rode around and around until about 5:00 that morning looking for a hotel. They were all full. Then we saw that wonderful sign. No, not a Hampton Inn, but an IHOP! They are open ALL night. So we sleep walked in and had some really good pancakes while we got over our jet lag. We then drove to some relatives house near Tampa while our AWESOME travel agent extended our stay another 2 days. Yeah!!

Finally it was time to go to Disney. As we drove through the gates at POP Century I felt like we were coming home. We had a great stay until our neighbor called and told us he had a little trouble with our out-laws, I mean some relatives. They had left New Orleans to stay at my Grandmothers house during Gustav. And when the storm passed they started another one.

As Zazu says: "There's one in every family, two in mine!" How true!! Lol. I'll tell what they did when I come back. And I'll have our plans and ADR's too. Have a great night!!

Well, the outlaws were at it again. pirate: Dad had made sure the had access to our generator and they had plenty of food. But my crazy aunt decided she needed the keys to our house. So she got them from our neighbor. Our neighbor called Dad and told him what happened. My aunt has stole from my grandmother so we had no doubt she would clean our house. And I don't mean the good kind of clean!! :sad2:

We were in the very long line for Toy Story Mania (I love that ride!) when we found out. Dad was, lets just say a little bit upset. As the day went on he decided to fly back and check on everything. That would ruin our vacation. But he did, and we stayed. The house was missing alot of shingles but not leaking. And Dad straightened up the mess with the out-laws. ::yes::

The rest of our trip went very well. And Dad ended up flying back and enjoying the last couple days. So, with the last couple trips being messed up by hurricanes. We got a better idea.

Lets go during a different time of year! Inspired, I know!

So, when we got the invite to book before they opened to the public we couldn't passs it up. We have never been during Christmas time, and I hear its magical. :tink:

Here is our plans so far:

Dec. 8th- Fly out of the New Orleans airport, Check in at POP Century, have dinner at Boatwright's in Port Orleans, and then head to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. I can't wait!!

Dec. 9th- Go to Animal Kingdom. Stay for the extra magic hours. Then have dinner at Wispering Canyon Cafe. That resturant is so fun!

Dec. 10th- Going to Mgic Kingdom. They have the extra magic hours. And we will have dinner at Tony's. I've never been there before.

Dec. 11th- Epcot day! As well as extra evening hours. We will have dinner at Coral Reef. They are delicious!!

Dec. 12th- Going back to Magic Kingdom. Where we have a reservation at Chef Mickeys.

Dec. 13th- Going to my favorite park. Disney Hollywood Studios! We will have dinner at 50's Prime Time. We always have a great time there.

Dec. 14th- Back to Epcot. We will have dinner at Le' Cellier's. We got a reservation last year by chance. A friend gave it to us at the last minute! Yummy!

Dec. 15th- (sniff) Last day. We will go to Disney Hollywood Studios for a little while then come back to the hotel and get ready to catch our flight back home. Thats always the worst part.

So, thats the plan. Let me know what you think!! :thanks:
