Sorry I didn't get to start the new week thread till now.
I think starting a new thread will be good.

I noticed everyone had questions about where to post etc. Let's post each week to the new thread. I promise I will do better to post it before the end of the week. If there isn't a new thread yet for that week, then post to last week's thread and I'll look there as I update the new one.

Also - You can check in whatever day works for you. I'll try to start a new thread on Tuesdays, but you can WI whatever day works best for you.

I was down 1.2 on friday bringing me to 4.2/15. I have 1 more pound to lose the 5 I had regained this summer. I find fall to be a better time for me and losing weight. I usually recommit to losing and find the cooler weather so much easier to get out and exercise. This is a big, emotional week for me. It is my last week in a job I've been for 17 years, and my son's last week of day care, where he's been since he was 3 months old, before he starts kindergarten. It is a good change for me, as I'm moving in the same hospital to an outpatient department, and will no longer be working weekends and holidays, :banana: and will be starting later in the morning so I can get my son off to school everyday. But it is a big change for both of us. I'm going to try really hard not to deal with my stress by eating. Plus after this week, I have 2 weeks vacation before starting my new job!!:thumbsup2 I want to eat well this week, and plan a few splurges next week.

Ugh, its going to be hard day.
I was up til 4:30 last night/this morning with DD1. And contrary to what my kids seem to think I need more that 4 hours of sleep. ;)

The grumpy part is the shocking lack of caffeine in the house. And its raining (I don't know what that has to do with anything).
Sorry for all the "woe is me" this morning. I am actually surprisingly chipper. So far its all kind of funny to me, which only scares me a little :)

I am thinking of relaxing my calories a bit today...my motto has always been if you can sleep, eat...hmm, maybe thats why i am the size I am? Anyway, a walk today seems like a good idea. I have a bunch of WATP dvds and that might help my energy level. And I need to get serious about drinking all my water. That should help to right?


Wow Melanie. Lots of changes and a busy week. Sounds like all good stuff.

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I have been doing really well so far and I have been maintaining a pretty positive attitude. I got caught up this weekend with my exercise minutes to meet my August goal on Saturday by spending 100 minutes tearing up my front flower garden area and mowing. I was really impressed with myself that I was working that hard for that long and I didn't get exhausted. I couldn't have done that for 15 minutes 3 months ago. However, I was impressed too soon. I woke up yesterday in severe pain in my upper legs. Ouch! I thought at first that I just pulled some muscles but this feels far worse. I am wondering if I actually tore the muscles. Is that possible? Anyway I am barely able to walk right now although I do try to move around a little to get it to loosen up. I couldn't exercise yesterday and today is not looking too great either. I really hope this gets healed up quickly so I can get back on it. Anyone have any suggestions for helping this heal faster?
 
Hi everyone! I lost 3.2 lbs since I last posted, bringing me to 3.2/30. I hope I can keep this up!

Hey everyone,

I'm doing really well. I can't wait for WI's this week. I've been working out really hard. Saturday DH and I went to the park and walked for 4.5 miles. Yesterday I did 45 minutes on the treadmill doing intervals and today I went to the gym at work and did 47 minutes doing intervals on the treadmill. If the weather is good tomorrow, I will walk about 45 minutes in the morning with 2 neighbors.

Eating has been good too, although today I was starving after working out. Even though I ate a decent lunch. I just had a granola bar and grapes. Hopefully that holds me. I have a cheerleading meeting tonight and wont' get to eat till at least 8pm.

Everyone is doing reallh well. Keep up the great work!
 
Well, I am back from vacation, with a few extra pounds added. Now to get back on track for the next 14 days before our DCL cruise--I don't plan on heavy dieting in that time; I plan to just exercise and try to eat well for the next two weeks.

MelanieC: sounds like you are doing great. Thanks again for keeping this organized and going!

Becka: so sorry to hear you are hurting. No suggestions, just hope you feel better soon.

danicaw: great positive attitude. Wish it were raining here (no good rain in weeks and another week of record setting heat here)

mikamah: good luck with stopping the stress eating--that is such a problem for me. WTG on the weight loss.

Time for my walk--it will be a short one--I think the heat index is still over 95 degrees at 8 pm.
