We walked around World Showcase and stopped when we got to Italy for gelato. DS had been waiting for this. He’d really enjoyed the gelato the last time we were in Epcot and he really wanted to say “choc-o-la-te” the way Stacy does in the Top Seven Must Sees. Actually his favorite part of that show is where she names the countries in World Showcase, “Italy, Germany, Japan, Norway” and then says “Yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy”. Can you tell my DS likes to eat, lol. He got the pistachio and I got the chocolate. The chocolate was excellent. I think it was different from the one I had last time, but was even better. The pistachio was very good too, with pieces of pistachio nuts mixed in.

Your reviews are awesome! We took a mother/son (12) trip in August and had a blast.

We left Epcot in late afternoon and were both so tired we just had dinner at the food court at ASMu. I got the turkey dinner that comes with two sides. I was going to get the mashed potatoes and the mixed veggies, but the veggies just didn’t look right to me so I got the rice instead (and of course there's nothing like a multi-carb meal). DS got a cheese pizza. My meal was actually very good, the turkey was nice and tender and juicy, the mashed potatoes and rice were yummy. DS liked the pizza, but even his stomach gave out and he only ate about half of it.

The picture of the turkey meal doesn't really look that good, but the lighting just wasn't right. Trust me, it tasted better than it looks.

I'd like to try Rainforest Cafe, never been but it looks like a great atmosphere for the kids

Breakfast was at the ASMU food court, not a big surprise, lol. Usually we do at least one if not more character breakfasts but skipped it this time, although DS was very clear he wanted to go to Crystal Palace for breakfast next time. We got the chocolate chip pancakes with bacon again for breakfast and headed off to Magic Kingdom.

For lunch we went to Cosmic Ray’s. I kept a close eye on my DS this time after almost losing him there during the summer (it was chaos in there during the free dining and while I was at the condiments area he had decided to go look for a seat. I think I aged 10 years in the couple of minutes before I found him). I got the ribs with mashed potatoes and green beans. DS got chicken nuggets. We also got dessert, the triple chocolate cake for DS and the sugar free brownie for me. The ribs were great, much better than the ones from Flame Tree. The mashed potatoes were good and the green beans were very tasty. I’m not sure why I got the brownie, I didn’t really want dessert and I only ate a little bit of it. DS ate only part of one nugget and some fries, deciding instead to focus on the cake. The frosting on the cake is dyn-o-mite!!

During the afternoon, DS asked for an Itzakadoozie. At the stand we stopped at, he asked the woman working there for the Itzakadoozie and she loved how he said it and asked him to say Itzakadoozie several times. They did this back and forth and she was laughing and he was laughing and then she gave the Itzakadoozie to him and told him it was free. I went to pay her and she kept saying no, it was on her. This was the height of joy for DS, an ice pop and it was free. A real Disney magic moment.
