Hey Nikki,

I'm so glad you like the new 2011 promotion.. I'm a big fan of it too! but reading things on fan websites and the low star-rating on the Disney blog, so many people seem unhappy with it?

I think it's a great idea.. and I love that Memories website, spending so much time on it already looking through photos and videos!

I submitted 2, but never got an email either way. They are under "My Memories" but don't come up in a search. 2 people have "liked" each of them, so they must be out there somewhere!

I think most people who aren't happy with the campaign are upset about images being projected on the Castle. They want the Castle left alone - and I understand that. When we take night pictures in front of it, now there is going to be someone else's child there instead of the Castle. Know what I mean? I can see why they are upset. It doesn't really get to me one way or another, but I am surprised Disney is "messing with" the Castle after the birthday cake ordeal!

I saw a few comments on how they feel this is just a cheap advertising campaign for Disney too. We had Years of a Million Dreams - lots of giveaways/prizes, then Celebrate You - free entrance to the park, now we are "making their ads"... again, I don't care one way or the other, it's cute and I'm a sucker for stuff like this - and it's TRUE! Only Disney can create those kinds of reactions!!!

I get why people are upset, but the cute kids screaming about going to Disney - and sweet pictures full of beautiful memories win me over.

I got the emails DAYS later, even after I had seen my memories on the site. I submitted 12 and 11 were accepted. Just the Growing Up Disney video wasn't, probably because it had music.

I get the feeling that images won't be projected onto the castle all day and all night, I feel like it's going to be maybe a 30 min show or something like that. I totally understand people not wanting the castle to be covered in other people's faces!

Hey Mel! Thanks for asking! I love 3rd grade and am so grateful that the 5 students who I had last year are setting a good example of my expectations for the rest of the class. But I wish I could've taken my whole class with me! It's hard because I have some and we're moving right along with the curriculum but the rest of the class isn't exactly "trained" yet if you know what I mean! They are good, though....just chatty!!

My grade 4 class is good, and one of my grade 1 group is amazing! They are moving along so well. The other... not so much. They have a very hard time focusing. They are much harder to "train".

A friend of mine who was honored last year said you have to stand up there while our principal talks about you and then you have to shake all the board members hands! I know this is hard to believe, but I'm super shy when it comes to stuff like that! OMG, you're going to meet Tom! I'm hoping my sister and Emma can come too!

I know! She's totally a "kid" now! Not really a baby anymore!
