I just booked our trip for Oct 22-29th!!! I am so thrilled!! :hyper:
Now I do know there are wonderful events for this time of year, the halloween party and the food and wine festival. But what I am not sure about are the crowds and weather. We usually go the week before T-givng and crowds and weather are great but we decided to give Oct a try.

How does Oct compare to Nov in regards to crowds and weather?
Also is the Halloween party worth the extra money? I have never been to event like this at WDW. Can somoene please tell me there expeirence with it!:teeth:

Again thanks to all the disers that respond!!

Mickey here we come!!!!::MickeyMo

well I have never been to the halloween party but I have been to MVMCP which is similar and It was great. I have heard great things about the party and I think you should try it. You can wears costumes, the kids get candy and treats and it sounds like so much fun. Also you can see your fave characters in their costumes.If you're gonna go I suggest going a night during the week as opposed to a fri b/c crowds on the weekend days are much higher.I hope I could help. Also if you go to www.allearsnet.com you can find pics and a listing of events for the party and also historical weather and crowd patterns for this time of year.

Thanks for the advice and that website is such a great tool!!

We went last October (17-26) and had a blast. The weather was perfect. It was hot, but not sweltering and it cooled down a bit at night. Still fine for swimming in the heated pools.

We loved Mickey's Not So Scarey Halloween Party. It's well worth the cost. You'll want to wear some sort of costume. We got costumes for the boys, but ended up buying hats there for us (dh got the Mickey sorcerer hat and I got a minnie princess ears hat). You get a free picture of the family, so it's fun to be dressed up somewhat at least.

The trick or treating wasn't worth it. The lines were long and you just got a piece of candy. There were no lines, however, at the rides. We just walked on most of them (we ended up riding splash mountain and space mountain 4 times each, in a row.

It was a blast. We will definitely do it again when we go next October. :hyper:

We went the last week in Oct last year too. It was great. Still really warm-- more humid than sunny hot though. We also did MNSSHP. Which we will do again (just not on Halloween next time-- this was more busy). The crowds in general were great. We didn't wait more than 15 min stand-by for anything.

One word of caution, bring lots and lots of bug spray the mosquito's are horrendous that time of year.

Wow! Reading all this great advice I know I made the right decision!:teeth: I called WDTC last night and the CM told me tickets go on sale the first week of May for the party. I have never been to an event at WDW before so I'm really excited!

Thanks for all the reviews!::MickeyMo
