We finally did it! We just got back today from Disney and signed all the papers, left our deposit and we're good to go!

And ... it seems like our timing couldn't be better as we are annual passholders and just read the news about the new Best Rate Passholder Program.

We were able to take advantage of the DVC renewal offer on our passes, which saved us $75 off of each of our 6 tickets. But, it doesn't look like the resort discounts are going to be too plentiful.

We're glad to be part of the family

and a person who's been contemplating buying DVC for months, no years. We're going 7/2-7/10, staying at the BC and my husband said that due to the new program for AP's we should just DO IT while we're there. Can anyone tell me the current incentive? We have a rep and everything - I'm sure he thinks we're flaky because we've been "on the fence" for awhile.

I believe the new price increase was effective 6/16, but I could be wrong.

Our incentive was a $1600 credit towards our down payment, as we were buying 200 points. Also, we bought at Saratoga Springs which gave us an additional 12 years of DVC.

I'm sure there are more knowledgeable people out there who could answer your questions more accurately.
