Went to WDW Aug. 22-26 using the free dining plan promo. Myself and nephew (12 y/o). We ate very well. We stayed at AsSports and the cost was $475 for 4 nights and 1 day park admission. (I had PHP's from before which we used on the other days).

I kept tabs on the food we ate on the dining plan to see what the food cost was. For the food we ordered and the tax and tip being included, our totals came to $421. Not bad. :goodvibes

We both had good appetites and all the walking made us hungry. Here's what we had:

Buffet Dinner at Chef Mickey's (1 Table Service each)
Lunch at Coral Reef (2 TS each) I had the shrimp cocktail for app. and lobster tail for entree. Nephew had crab cake for app. and steak for entree. We both had dessert and soft drinks.
Dinner at Concourse Steakhouse (1 TS each). I had shrimp cocktail (again) for app. and nephew had honey sesame chicken wings. We both had filet mignon. I had dessert.

Our counter service meals were at Typhoon Lagoon, Pizzafari, Pizza Planet and breakfast at AS food court. We used our snack options mostly for drinks at the parks.

Anything else we wanted, I paid out of pocket; but that wasn't too often.

The plan gave me a chance to try out some new (to me) restaurants. I hope Disney does this again next year. There are more restaurants for me to try. :teeth:
