We had fun at Joe's Crab Shack! We ate on the patio so that the kids could play on the playground while DH and I enjoyed some drinks. During bathroom visits the kids would dance their way across the floor inside, because they had great music playing! A guy came around to the tables and made balloon creations for the kids – mine all wanted swords. The food was good too. I would definitely go back.

Black Angus was typical chain steakhouse decor and menu. DH and I went there with friends. Steaks were good, but we found it a little pricey e.g. 4 adults and an 11 year old who eats from the adult menu had a total bill of $200 (incl. tax and tip). The 2 guys had a couple of beers each, and I had a cocktail, but the other 2 only drank bottled water. Maybe it's not that expensive - compared to home it's certainly not. But I know there are more reasonable steakhouses around. This one was in walking distance from our hotel, Cypress Pointe, and the Sheraton Safari where our friends were, which is why we chose it. We didn't feel like driving. It was a good meal though, and we'd go back if we were near to one again. But I doubt we'd go out of our way to find one - it wasn't particularly amazing in food or value.

I think we will have to put that Joe's Crab Shack on our to do list.

Can I ask for directions from Formosa Gardesn Area?

It's on Apopka-Vineland Rd., which is what SR 535 becomes as it heads north from Palm Parkway. Is formosa on 192 west? If so, if you head East on 192 until the traffic light with SR535; turn left onto SR 535 and just keep going. You'll be on 535 for maybe 5 - 7 minutes (depending on traffic etc.) before you see the overpass for I-4. Once you pass under that, Joe's is only about 3 lights away on the left hand side. You pass the junction with Disney gates on the laft and Crossroads on your right; then you pass the junction with Palm parkway on the right and the continuation of SR 535 on your left. Keep going straight, onto Apopka Vineland, and the next light will take you either to Walgreens on the left or Vinnings Way on the right. Turn left into Walgreens - the parking lot connects to Joe's. Along SR 535 and Apopka Vineland you will also find: Black Angus, Olive Garden, Golden Corral, Bahama Breeze, Giordanos, Macaroni Grill, Fridays, IHOP ... and many more! No shortage of places to eat, that's for sure!

I was on their website to look at the menu, but didn't see a kids menu. Can you remember what they had for the kids?
