We just got back from a trip to the World with DDP. We like the plan and will use it in the future. We thought it was a lot of food. We ate at the following:

Table service:
Liberty Tree Tavern lunch
Ohana
Storybook Princess breakfast
Kona Cafe
Tusker House breakfast
Crystal Palace dinner

For the most part we had great service. Only one time we did not leave the suggetested 20%. It was at Liberty Tree Tavern. We had great food but never saw our server. He never refilled our drinks and we really felt rushed by him. So he got 10%. I am not going to list our counter services because we basically ate at Captain Cooks. We did have one great counter service meal in Epcot. It was the counter by soarin. We had bbq chicken and rice. It was great. They also had great desserts there too. I will start my reviews later.

First up, Liberty Tree Tavern lunch. We eat lunch here every trip. We were seated quickly. Our server was never around so the services I thought was not up to par. Our food was good. I got the crabcake, which I love!!. My husband got the turkey. He said it was good but he did not care for the vegetables. The kids had pizza. The dessert here is awesome. We both got the strawberry shortcake. I was upset at first because they took the pound cake off the menu, but then I was told by a server that they still had it but it was with the strawberry shortcake. It was GREAT!!!!! So all of you that think the poundcake is gone, order the strawberry shortcake and you will have it!!!

Will I eat here again? For lunch, yes I will.

We ate at the Liberty Tree last year for the very first time in all of our trips and really enjoyed our lunch (my DH had the turkey too...he didn't like the veggies either). Thanks for the review and anxious for more.

Next up, Ohana. I had to work real hard to get this resrvation. I called for three weeks until they finally got us in at 8:15. All I have to say is
THIS MEAL WAS AWESOME! At first, I was back and forth because it was taking away our park time at night. There is nothing like Magic Kingdom at night. But since I have been reading such good reviews, we decided to keep it and I am glad we did. We were seated in 15 minutes of our arrival. They had live music playing and the kids danced. Once we were seated we were brought salad and bread. This bread was not just any ole bread, it was delicious. It had a flavor in the butter, out of this world. Then they brought the wontons. We ate every single one. I was literally talking to my food as I ate them. Just when I thougt things could not get any better, SHRIMP!. Loved them. Then they brought the steak, turkey, and pork. All to die for, cooked to perfection, slap your momma good! Okay folks, they did bring vegetables. We did not eat any because we were so full from the meat. Finally for dessert, the bread pudding. A HOMERUN FOR OUR FAMILY. I will be back here for sure. Do not miss out on this reservation. It was one of our favorite meals of the trip. (we had two)

I was so glad to hear that Ohana had put the shrimp back on the menu. They were the skewered shrimp, correct?

I'm so happy to hear you liked Ohanas! We had to change our reservation to a later date and could only get a later reservation, but I think it will be well worth it!
Can't wait to read more of your TR!!
Happy Mothers Day!

Yes, they were shrimp on a skewer. They were delicious. We had a late reservation too. We saw wishes there and it was great.

Next up, Storybook at Norway Breakfast. We did not care a whole lot about this breakfast. One thing we realized is all the breakfast pretty much taste the same by the end of the trip. We did have great character interaction. We saw Mulan, Snow white, Belle, Jasmine, and Sleeping Beauty. There was really not much to brag on except my three year old loved meeting the princesses. Would we go back: it depends on the time of year. If it is during a slow time of year probably not. We would just stand in line to see them at the parks.

KONA CAFE ROCKS! This was our second favorite dinner. We had the fried wontons for an appetizer. My husband had Tuna. I had fried shrimp. The kids had chicken and rice. My husband said his Tuna was the best he has ever had. My shrimp were perfect with the dipping sauce. My kids pretty food much tasted like all the WDW kids menu food. I did share some of mine with them. I had Cheesecake for dessert. My husband had some kind of Brownie. All was very good. One side note: Ohana and Kona had the best dessert I think either one of us have ever had.

Would we go back: You bet!!!

All these places sound great! I'm looking forward to the rest of your reviews.

TUSKER HOUSE IS NEXT.

We are here on a Wednesday morning. I have to say we got a little stressed out getting to this ADR. We drove our own car this day. We left the Poly an hour before the actual reservation time. We still did not get to the reservation on time. We were five minutes late. It worked out fine, but we were nearly running through the park to get there. Animal Kingdom was really crowded on this day. I chose Wednesday b/c TGM suggested it, but it was busy. Back to the meal. We checked in. We had about a five minute wait. It was nice because you are able to wait under a covered area with fans. They called our name and we were off. I really liked the decor of the restaurant. It had more to offer than the Princess breakfast in Norway. More fruit choices, more meat, more pastries. We had a wonderful server. The characters were Mickey, Pluto, Donald, and Daisy. They had a parade with the characters every hour with musical instruments. The kids had a blast. I do recommend this one. We have done alot of character breakfast and I have to say that Tusker House and Cape May are my favorite. I do think when it all comes down to it, all the breakfast taste the same. Our next trip we decided that we are going to do more dinners than breakfast. If we do one, Tusker House will be it.

Will we eat here again? Yes. Another tid bit: It is nice that Tusker House is so close to Safari. We got fast passes before we ate and we were able to use them as soon as we were finished. That saved on alot of walking.

Last up is CRYSTAL PALACE.

We had a 9:00(pm) oclock reservation for this supper. I thought it was a little late but it was all we could get. We even booked this two months in advance. This was on a Thursday. It was one of the only night the MK had Spectro so that explains why it was so busy. We went to the MK around 6:30. We wanted to get there early enough to avoid the parade crowd getting to the restaurant. We were able to ride about 5 rides. We started walking to CP around 8:45. It was crowded but it was not hard getting to the restaurant. We checked in and were seated immediately. We had a great server. I have to say that we were pleasantly suprised by this meal. Everything was fresh and good even at 9:00 at night. I really liked the eat and peal shrimp. They also had great strawberry cheesecake. The characters moved pretty quickly. In fact, we got to see them twice. I also liked that they had cold food and hot food at the buffett. Every one of us ate plenty. The kids chicken fingers were really good too. We walked out of the restaurant right at 10:00. We had a nice uncrowded seat on the porch of CP to watch wishes. We really had a great time.

Would we go again: Yes, definately!

In summary:

We had such a great time this trip. I do think that the DDP is worth the money. It is plenty of food. The only thing I did not care for was I felt like the ADRs ran our day. The sit down restaurants can take a long time. I can say that I was tired of eating by the time we left. I couldn't imagine eating on the plan for longer than 5 days. We had wonderful desserts this time around. We also had a real tasty counter service in Epcot. It was in the same building as Garden Grill. They had good desserts too. There was plenty to choose from. That was probably our favorite counter service. We basically ate most of our counter services at the Poly. We pretty much stayed by the pool most of the afternoon. If I can recommend anything, it would be to eat at Ohanas and Kona Cafe. This was our first visit to Ohanas. I had read mixed reviews but booked it because I liked what was on the menu. I am so glad I did. We ate at Kona Cafe last year. So, this was our second visit. We knew we would like it. Try to make your reservations as soon as possilble for these two restaurants. They fill up fast. Thanks for reading my posts. If you have any questions, ask away.

thanks for sharing, was great... I have some of the same ADR's upcoming and you just got me REALLY excited for them! Thanks :)

Thank you for all the reviews and your good reccomendations. I was wondering about feeling like TS would run our lives!
