As promised, here are the first of my reviews from our June 16-24 trip. We were a family of 4; me (40 year old mom), DD 1 (9 year old), DD 2 (13 year old), DD's best friend (also 13).

Most of our breakfasts were in the room. Our first night was at POP and the rest were at CSR.

Dinner-Day 1
Beaches-n-Cream. This is one of our all time favorite restaurants at WDW. Again, it didn't disappoint. We arrived about 6:45 and did have to wait for a while. When we were called the hostess wanted to put us (a total of 7) at a booth!! I told her that wouln't be happening and we would wait for the tables so we would be comfortable. After about 10 more minutes we did get two tables and pushed them together. Our waitress was Darlene and she was training, but she was very good! My girls and I split one double cheeseburger and one turkey sandwich. One got fries and the other got fruit. We asked to add onion to the burger. My DD BF got a single cheeseburger. We all had coke to drink. Dessert was one No Way Jose and one single scoop hot fudge sundae. The total was $48.66. It was an excellent meal and a great way to start our trip. We will be back in December.

Breakfast-Day 2
Everything Pop. We were checking out of Pop and heading over to CSR so we decided to eat in the food court. It was very tasty and everything was served hot. We had one kid's chocolate chip pancakes with sausage, french toast plate with bacon, pancake platter with bacon, ham and cheese omelet with cheesy potatoes and bacon, 2 apple juices, and 1 chocolate milk. The total was $27. The bacon was perfectly crispy and not fatty. The pancakes for the both the kids and adults were large portions. We could have shared. The french toast was only okay, but the omelet plate was excellent!

Dinner-Day 2
Rainforest Cafe-Downtown Disney. I have yet to understand the confusion as to checking in at RFC. It is the same at AK as DTD. We did have a PS and after finally checking in we were seated promptly at our 6:00 PS. To avoid a long wait even with PS, I suggest you get there early. Our waiter was WAY OUT THERE!! Very over the top, silly, comic like. My group didn't like him, but the other family with us did. He was just WAY too much for us. Anyway, the meal was excellent as usual. My older DD and I shared the Mojo Bones, the other two girls shared a salad and a pepperoni pizza. We had PLENTY of food. The ribs were excellent and we substituted the garlic mashed potatoes for the fries. The pizza was huge and plenty for them to eat. I had a rainbow colada and swear there was no alcohol in it. I'll skip that next time and save the $6.95. Because we were a total of 7, a gratuity was added to the bill. It was 17% which was much too much!! Our total was about $65.

Day 3
Breakfast and Lunch in room

Dinner-Pecos Bill's before E Ride
We had two cheeseburgers, one hot dog, one chicken wrap, and used our own drinks with cups of ice. The girls had fries with the hot dog and carrots with cheeseburger. We really like this counter service. The toppings bar is excellent. The girls liked their burgers and fries. I really liked the wrap! It was VERY large! Accompanied with sauteed mushrooms, it was a great meal. Total-$27.

Snack-After E Ride
Ice Cream Shop. It was close to 1:00Am and they were out of cookies for the ice cream sandwich-just gave us an excuse to visit again later in the trip! We had 1 root beer float, 1 coke float, 1 single scoop cookies and cream, and 1 hot fudge sundae. $16 I really liked the waffle bowl that the sundae was in. It had a slight taste of cinnamon, but not overpowering. It was a great way to end an E Ride!

More to come later....
