Day 1 --

Lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern

ADR was for 1135, checked in about 1130 and waited in a very crowded room for about 15 minutes before being seated.

DD had chicken noodle soup, turkey with potatoes and gravy and fruit. I had the chicken and pasta dish.

DD said the soup was very yummy (better than mommy's) the turkey was ok but a bit dry and fruit is always a hit (as you will see throughout the reviews) and the green beans must have been good because she ate them all.

My pasta was pretty good although I didn't eat the chicken. The sauce was the best part.

For dessert we split the toffee carmel (not sure what it was called) brownie. The outside part was very good but the inner part of the brownie was just not cooked well and gross.

For dinner that night we split the double cheeseburger with bacon meal from Cosmic Rays. We love this place because of the fixin bar and Sonny Eclipse!

The brownie cake wasn't very good and it ended up in the trash.

Day 2

9:15 am ADR for Breakfastasaurus

Park opened at 9 we ran inside and grabbed fast pases for the safari and got into a very long line to check in for the meal. Received a buzzer and sat and sat and sat and watched those that came after us be seated. We were seated about 9:30-9:40. (Assuming since we were a party of just 2)

Buzzer rang and we got our photo taken. I wanted only DD but the photographer insisted it was both of us. I told him I wouldn't be purchasing if it was us and not her alone -- he didn't seam to care so I took a photo of just her and didn't buy the package.

We walked around and met the server. From the moment we got inside we both wanted out. It was so nosiy and busy and just chaos. Can't remember our server (prolly for the best) but she brought us juice right away. I explained I was allergic to oranges and asked if there was orange in the drink. She said she didn't know for sure so I ordered soda in case. DD also wanted soda so I asked for one for her also and we went and got our first plates.

I didn't take food pictures for some reason (prolly because we both wanted out) but I didn't like the potatoes (and I'm a potato lover) but did enjoy the bread pudding with vanilla sauce. DD ate three plates of watermelon and honeydew melon.

Saw Daisy, Mickey and Donald right away but left before Goofy (I think) made his way to the table. DD did do the music thing once before we left which she enjoyed (wouldn't tell from her face in the picture below).

All in all we won't be back but I could see how others would enjoy it!

Next -- dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe

Last review for the night... dinner at 50's Prime Time Cafe

DD enjoyed waiting in the "livng room":

Once we were seated an met our cousins we were introducted to mom "Mary Ann" who was a HOOT. She played the part so well! She took our drink order and explained the menu. I got my soda right away but DD's milkshake (we switched drinks) didn't arrive until she was finished with the meal! We asked twice but was told both times it was coming. Arrived just in time for dessert.

Mom noticed that the table behind me didn't eat her greens and she had everyone make airplane noises and proceed to feed her. It was so funny and dd couldn't believe it was happening.

DD got chicken nuggets, fries and chicken noodle soup.

Didn't touch the chicken nor the fries but loved the soup.

I got the stuffed green pepper. It was very well seasoned and cooked just right. Would go back just to have this again:

Mom came back and gave us the dessert menu along with DD's milkshake

I ordered the angel food cake with berries which we poured DD's shake over the top and made it better.

Can't wait to go back in November!!!

Adding pictures and will go back to add reviews:

I'm in the middle of frying up 20 pounds of hamburger for work tomorrow so I'm posting from the kitchen. We will see how much I actually get done tonight!

Tutto Italia

Ok, first off we lived in Italy for five years. DD was born there and has dual citizenship. I LOVE true Italian food!

To start they brought a bread basket and olive oil -- it was good and true Italian bread and decent quality olive oil but the bread and oil thing is an American thing because at true Italian trattorias (not those that cater to tourists) I can't remember ever starting out with bread and oil.

They also brought out a sampling of olives. Depending on your tastes some were good and others not so much. Beware if your kids try them as they have not been pitted.

For her appitizer DD choose the fried mozzarella balls. They were pure mozzarella (I'd almost guess buffalo cheese) with a breading that had been fried like cheesesticks and topped with sauce. This is IS NOT preggo or ragu; it is true italian sauce so be forewarned that it is different but OOOOOHHHH sooo good!

DD decided on spaghetti and meatballs. Again the sauce is different but it was she is used to and she loved it! I tried her meatballs and they were OK but I am not a huge meat eater so prolly not the best judge. DD didn't like the meatballs at all but she doesn't like anyones meatballs so I wasn't shocked.

Our waiter was wonderful refilling drinks as needed and conversing with DD in Italian (she speaks, I try) I'm sure it was a treat to have an 8 year old American girl speak to them in native tounge.

I had been drooling over the menu for some time and finally decided a few days prior to order the trofie which is ligurian pasta (small twists) with pinenut basil pesto and green beans. I knew from the first bite that I had made the right choice! If you are a pesto lover you will love this dish although the green beans were a little undercooked they were easily pushed around the plate.

I'll have to get dessert another time! But believe me it's worth waiting for!

Garden Grill - I'll get to the review soon but since a few have asked the green rice is asparagus risotto which was the vegeterian option for the evening (my understanding is it is usually a risotto offering of some kind!) IT WAS VERY GOOD ... took a bit of time to get but very much worth the wait!

Enjoying your reviews. :goodvibes I, too, am curious as to what the green, ricey stuff at GG is. And, also, to see what you thought of Tutto Italia and GG.
