DH & I went round and round about vacation this summer and decided to head back to Disney. Hard to explain to others, but you folks here know what that place means. For our family it's a place where we can be together and do many different things. After so many things happening this year we really need to re-connect as a family and spend time together. The kids have been so many times (trips 10 & 12 coming up) that they know the parks, know where they want to eat, know what they want to do, etc. We DON'T do the commando route. This trip we want to rent the water mice, the surrey bikes and go slow. My sister says that our kids have been so many times that they think of Disney World as their second home - true! (She got to go for the first time last summer at the age of 53!)
Both kids (DD5 & DS9) get out of school on friday, june 18th. On saturday the 19th we will get up, be packed, and ask them to keep an eye out for our driver. (we get driven to the airport) Wonder how long it will take them to figure it out??
We are staying 3 nights at the Polynesian and then 5 nights at the Boardwalk. Yes, we were just there in April, but DH had a 4-day conference after that (he left an hour after we got home) and he was studying during the trip. DS was going through something and he was a pest. When we got home it seemed like we missed out on a lot of the vacation. But heck, I don't need to justify a Disney vacation to YOU people!
I still can't believe it...
