We are STILL going.. NOT Cancelled!

YEA! I wrote several days ago about the fact we had to cancel my "mom and son" trip because of my 10 yr olds middle school orientation in June. BUT.. I talked to his teacher today, and he can go with another 4th grade class (they go the day before we leave!). I was willing to cancell the trip for this orientation - it is THAT important!
BUT now WE CAN GO!

This is such an important little trip for us. Kyle has been such a great kid, with a new baby at home, we moved this year...things have been crazy. My DH wants nothing to do with WDW anymore, so I promised my two boys I would take them each when they ended 4th grade. I would take both of them, but they enjoy different things - this way they can have their special time with me... and plan on our special dinner ('Ohana) and activities (Pin Trading!)

Congrats!! I just want to know WHEN did 5th grade become middle school??? I was just getting used to 6th grade being middle school.

I'm so glad it worked out for you, Catrin! The fact that you were willing to sacrifice your trip for the orientation shows that you're an excellent Mom! I took a trip with my DS a few years ago, and it was fantastic! Have a great time!

My DD is heading into Middle School next year, so I empathise with how important this trip is to you! It's such a big leap AWAY from being a little kid! Enjoy your trip!
