WE DID MAKE IT TO NASHVILLE THIS PAST WEEKEND! WHAT A WEEKEND THE BEST PART OF OUR WEEKEND WAS MEETING LEANNE (leamom2princesses) and her wonderful family Both Danny and I look forward to meeting up with them again. Ashton is still talking about 'his' Josie and Lindsey! more about out weekend tomorrow with a few pictures!

Is Dayne itching for the year to be over? I am glad to hear his wrist is healing well! Fun trip to Nashville--such a great city. I hope you have a great time!!

Love Epcot!! Universal/IOA never been but I will be looking forward to reading about it!!

Yes, Dayne can not wait to be out of high school! but, has no clue what he wants to do with him self after he is out...he liked NADC but not sure about how far from home and the cost So, we plan to do more reseach on the schools closer to home...

My older kids and Danny love Universal, although they do have things for the younger kids (like Suess area, and woody woodpecker area) it is geared to a little older crowd...I still want to see if I can somehow work in Seaworld (but I really don't see it happening).

We are all getting very excited ; but, after the long ride this weekend...none of us are excited about the ride...I do believe I will be the one driving since we will be in our car...Danny makes me a nervous wreck (he gets so drowsy )...

more tomorrow...I am so tired from all that riding and all regular soda I had...I normally drink diet and Danny does not so we would just share regular and it has my system out of whack!

I know that you didn't care for the drive to Tennessee but just consider it a test for Disney. At least when you are on your way to Disney....something magical awaits you. (No offense Leanne!)

Our Nashville weekend:

the highlight of our weekend was meeting Leanne (leamom2princesses) and her family in person. Leanne and I have been corresponding on the dis for over a year now. We all got along wonderfully like we had been friends for a long time (well we have; and just needed to meet in person ).

We had a major problem arise on our ride over; Danny had a new windshield, four new tires, an oil change, and he changed the fuel filter on Thursday for the ride over. Well, we were about to Hattisburg when we started smelling diesel when we stopped; but, did not see anything. Well, by the time we had reached Huntsville we could see drips and the fuel guage was dropping quickly. Now, by the time we hit major traffic in Nashville we were leaving a stream behind us.

We had met Leanne, Joe and the girls for dinner at the Opry Mills mall (what an awesome mall--last time I had been there I was in grade school and had performed at the than Opryland Park). We were telling them about our problem so Joe was finding the numbers of the local Ford places for us to get a part Sat morning.

Saturday morning we woke up a went to the NADC school bright and early. Danny spoke to one of the instuctors who had him pull his truck into the diesel bay (to get it out of the rain--it drizzled our entire weekend). Danny and a student started pulling apart the fuel system to find the problem. The problem was that after 265K miles a bracket wore a very small hole in a steel fuel line. No problem call the local Ford places to get the part...WRONG! not one Ford place was open in Nashville. The only place open was minutes from Leanne and Joe's house...in comes our angel to the rescue. Leanne and her girls made another 45 min trip to bring us the part. If it had not been for her we would have to stay in Nashville another day and half (not that it would have been all bad. I had chosen a hotel with an indoor pool and Ashton was in heaven.

So, although we did not get to see the sites that I had planned to bring Danny, Dayne, and his friend we did have wonderful time...getting to see Leanne and her family two days in a row; and Nick (Dayne's friend) was able to have dinner with his aunt who just moved to Nashville six months before (which meant dinner at OpryMills again! )

We had an uneventful ride home and Ashton did very well on the ride home; but, did have problems on the ride there (nothing major-and he settled back down once we stopped for some food). I think our plan of leaving in the very early morning hours for Disney will be a great help for Ashton.

Now for the pictures...there not many but a few of the kids exploring the Aquarium in the mall and Ashton and his "Josie" riding the carousel.

We had a wonderful time; all you guys that are meeting up in May and in September are so lucky! I still need to plan a trip to the coast to meet up with Dana, and Lisa and Megan are so close I need to plan something with them maybe in the summer and fall. And, maybe Katie and I can meet at the Mandeville water play area over the summer

You know I can sympathize with you on the car troubles (just think back to our Hot Springs trip and the nail in the tire ). Yay! for getting the truck fixed and back up and running.

The pictures are so cute. It's great that everybody got along so well.
