I'm loving your plans & photos!! :yay: Yay for Ashton being able to ride Dinosaur!!!!

Your plans sound great!!! You are sooo brave leaving at midnight! It will be easier with Ashton, though :thumbsup2

Yea for his height! He will have so much fun riding with you! Interested in reading about Trex!:woohoo:

Congrats to Ashton for reaching the height requirement to ride Dinosaur and for having a good report at the doctor's office!

Leeanne, I totally see where you're coming from on wondering if you should pay the extra $ for a stay at the Poly. I would absolutely love to stay there but it would cost $1,000 + over the cost of the CBR. I keep thinking of all the things I can do with that extra $1,000.00.
::mickeyjum we are so happy to think that we won't have to baby swap for the rides that I generally ride :mickeyjum:
Lisa, that's how Danny and I look at it too! Although, we will probably try a mod when we go back in a few years.

Thanks! April more to come maybe tomorrow during nap time...
:yay: for being able to ride Dinosaur, Soarin', BMRR (maybe), Test Track, am I pushing it?!?

If I give Danny two benadryl around 1-2 pm he should be able to get a good 6/8 hrs...I'll do the same and Gwendolyn never needs help to sleep...so, we will just have to mix up our days and nights...I'll probably rent a good movie on demand the night before to keep us awake most of the night to help reset our body clocks.

I can't wait to see what he thinks of T-rex, Ellen's energy ride, and Dinosaur he is a real dinosaur fanatic...I have the figures all over the living floor all day. I'll probably throw them in his car box, since he plays so quiet with them.

Thanks! Megan
Ashton had been complaining of leg pain for the last two weeks; I believe it was a growth spurt (both Dayne and Gwendolyn would do that--Dayne a few years ago would cry with his legs and a week later grow an inch over night:scared1: ). So, hang in there all that new fod in his system may just promote a growth spurt.:goodvibes

That's what I am hoping for right now. Keeping my fingers crossed for the next three months.

Tuesday April 27
I believe we will visit Disney Hollywood Studios
Fantasmic is on this night at 8:30--this is my favorite fireworks show and we missed out on it last year
we do not have ADR's today will be counter service meals....so I'm thinking breakfast at the hotel and a late lunch at Pizza Planet w/ a small dinner snack back at the POP...hoping we can hang out at the pool for about an hour before bed...that is always a nice way to end an evening.

Wednesday April 28
today will be our EPCOT day! according to UG it is the best park w/moderate crowd levels (5) hours 9-9
Again, we should start our day with a light breakfast at the POP! lunch will be wherever we are closest to! but CS and who knows what dinner holds:confused3 maybe we'll walk over to DTD or just eat at Epcot...we'll have to see how we feel. The first thing upon entering the park Danny will need to walk and get FP's for Soarin'. I missed this last year
Sorry, no pictures of Epcot from last year! I did not take any the night we went for the EMH's thinking we were going back the next day. I am really hoping that most things will be short lines and almost walk ons with the rating it is getting for this day. I would like to do this park commando style...start w/Nemo and work our way around the park...the way we did back in 2001. It was wonderful, we just walked our way around and walked onto everything :goodvibes

More later....
I need to go start lessons with my two darlings while they are in a good mood.
Up next, our goodbuy to Disney for a few years.

found a BAD family picture from 2001
thought I would share
I tried to fix it with photobucket and think I made it worse
universaldisney2001004.jpg

you may ask
"What is Connie doing with her hands?" we were suppose to be acting as though we were excited
they didn't do anything but stand there :confused3:
one of my favorite pictures from 2001
this was our very first viewing of Fantasmic

DHS--we have never seen Fantasmic and that is definitely high on our list!! We are shooting for a F! dinner package so we do not have to wait in the lines. Cute family photo!! :goodvibes

EP: Soarin'--my favorite ride!! I am really looking forward to taking DD on it as well. Ashton will be tall enough also. How do you think he will do?

love the flashback photos! :)

No way! You aren't pushing it. I love the photos!!! Keep them coming! :thumbsup2

Nice plans! The pictures with Ashton and Handy Manny are precious. We did not get to see him last year, and we love him, so we'll be looking out for him in a few months!

I gotta get my plans going. I mean I know which parks on which days but I gotta do some more thinking.

I think that is what I'm concerned about...yes, he is tall enough to ride all of the rides...but, a memory was brought back from when Dayne was just tall enough to ride the Hulk but was really to light. he almost slid out:scared1: and when the Simpsons was Back to the Future (he was 4 that year) again tall enough, but Danny and I had him between the two of us and were holding on to him for dear life...we was so little.
So, I think he will be fine, a daredevil,as long as we are there...I just need to use some common sense and mom sense on what he really should not try like BTMRR:confused3

Thanks! April...I really need to get my mom's pictures; she has so many more than I do...

Last year we were lucky with the Playhouse Disney characters the lines were not bad and we were able to catch them before and after the Playhouse Disney show.

That scares me about him almost slipping out of the rides. My DD just hit the 40 inch mark, and I was looking forward to taking her on some of those rides (BTMRR, Splash, Soarin), but I will have to make sure I keep a tight grip on her at all times. At almost 5 she is barely 40 inches and weighs about 35 pounds...she's a tiny little thing (doesn't get that from me, lol). Hopefully as long as we keep them close to us they will be fine. I can't wait to see how it goes with your DS.

Danny told me he thinks Ashton will be fine on all the rides except BTMRR; he believes that is the only one that will be too rough for him. Now, Dinosaur on the other hand may be too intense for him but I think we are going to give it a shot anyway. As for Splash I really don't think they are going to talk me into riding that one (I do not like to fall--never did...although I did ride Jurassic Park...i'll see)
All of the plans look great so far! :thumbsup2 And I'm loving the pictures from the previous trips! :goodvibes

How exciting about Ashton's height! :woohoo:
Thanks! I need to find more memories from the past...I love going back in time; my kids grew up on me too fast! Ashton goes to his growth chart every morning and measures and says I can ride the rides with Wendolyn and daddy?!? :mickeyjum

Connie, your really shouldn't worry too much about Ashton slipping out on Soarin'. I don't know if you've noticed it, but there's an extra strap for the smaller kids. If your child doesn't reach a certain mark on the back of your seat, there's a strap that goes between their legs for extra security.

I think all of us mothers with the same size children--just about the 40 inch mark or so but still small--will be worrying about safety concerns! I want her to enjoy the rides and not be scared and certainly be safe too! BTMRR--I will be holding her!! I won't let her on SM yet--I am too afraid of with the incline with her bottom lifting off the seat. Not worth it IMO.

Ashton will be fine on Soarin. There's no slipping out with the extra strap. I'm just the opposite. I am hoping and praying for that one inch growth so Cooper can ride because I know he'll love it. He's not there yet like Ashton. However, I thing Soaring and TT are the only ones he'd try for now even though he says he can't wait to ride Splash and BTMRR. We'll see. None of this will matter if he doesn't grow the inch.

BTW, thanks for the reminder on the NOMA exhibit. We went yesterday and had a blast.

Thanks! Lisa, I still have not ridden Soarin'--we missed it last year But, that makes me feel better to hear that about the extra strap.

I am so happy that you guys enjoyed the exhibit! I just knew you would!
he has two months to go...hoping he will do it! on another thread someone suggested cowboy boots!:thumbsup2

That's the reason I don't like to ride it :rotfl2: ...no I don't believe he will be riding Splash or BTMRR this year. Danny said not to push it with those he is still a little bit...

OT:
Danny and I had a staycation Saturday night. We wanted to take out some friends...we thought about going to the coast (like usual) but, they suggested a group of cabins out in plantation country. What a wonderful and different get away. The weather here this weekend was so beautiful, although we only went walk through antique stores. It was a wonderful adult getaway...

the cabins were 100 yr old slave cabins that were trucked in and restored from throughout the state sitting in this little swap area...I was so afraid of gators...Danny thought I was funny, but, I bet they were not far away:eek:
We went eat at a resturant called "the Cabin", this too was from a slave cabin they still had the orginial newspaper that was used as insullation...such a wonderful hisorical experience.

Think this was our last outing until Disney now...need to save up for a wonderful family trip :mickeyjum

You are getting so close to your time to go. I'm jealous.

I don't know if you would want to take Ashton to see Alice or not. There were parts in the movie that were pretty intense and scary. Dallas covered his eyes a couple of times. The visual effects was amazing, but some were kinda graphic, gory wise. I would highly recommend the movie otherwise.
