Hi Connie!! It was just our experience that the characters and the meal itself is rushed there. (maybe because they are trying to get you out for the 9AM park opening?) We got to spend so much more time with them at Ohana and Chef Mickey so I think we were spoiled! We do love the food at TH!!

My vote is for TH. I have never been disappointed with the food & character interactions have always been awesome for me. I know people will kill me for saying this, but the food at Chef Mickey's has gotten worse & worse over the years. I DO like Ohana, too, though.

My opinion of Chef Mickey's sucks big time. We ate dinner there and it was just horrible. Food on the floor, food all over the bar, food bordered on yucky. We had to flag down our waitress to bring our ticket. I don't think I'll be going back there anytime soon. I think I'd either book Crystal Palace or Tusker House.

You will either love leaving that early or absolutely hate it. I can't sleep in the car, so I am a bit tired when we get there. However, there is zero traffic on the road when you drive. We got to Tallhassee in about 7 hours because of the lack of traffic. Cooper travelled the best leaving at that time. He slept the whole way!

If I were to cancel on of the three you listed, I'd cancel CP. DSB is so great and so is Ohana. If he's not really into Pooh & friends, then he'd get the least from the meal.

My vote would be definitely keep TH--the reviews are consistently good!! (which Nicki are you meaning?) We have no interest in Y&Y this go around, so it really is our only TS option in AK. Just my opinion :)

I vote for Tusker House Connie! I haven't eaten there but like Stephanie said, I've read fairly consistent positive reviews. I have all three of these breakfasts planned for our upcoming trip. I hope the girls enjoy them as much as I think they will.

Hope you're having a good weekend! :goodvibes

My vote would be for TH! We had great interaction there and the food was so yummy! :thumbsup2

Also, your comments about the boys and the cheerleaders had me cracking up! :rotfl:

We are most excited for Tusker House. But have not been before.

OK! thanks for your thoughts on this everyone! I am keeping Tusker House; I still have Crystal Palace and I have CX all the others...I may still cx CP but I so want that empty park feel:confused3. I could not get a ressie for Sat night for T-Rex but I did get a 3:00pm on Sunday so I took it for now.

so now on to what I think my plans will be:

So, changes for Saturday :drive: day
we plan to leave between midnight and 1:am
I thought I would bring Ashton to my mom's Friday afternoon and pick him up that night around 10...so, we can all take a loooong nap!

when we arrive at the POP

Joe will have to go to SoG and we plan to hang out at the pool
walk around DTD and probably eat at EoS (yum!)

Sounds like you have an excellent plan coming together. I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm starting to think maybe I should skip the Poly. I have that itch to change something. :scared1:

we have ressies at Crystal Palace for 8:20 am (this is the ressie Danny will probably have me cancel)

We plan to spend the day here!
I made ressies for T-Rex at DTD for 3:00 pm. So, my thought for the moment is that we will leave MK around 2:00pm (trying to remember if there is a bus to DTD from the MK--if not we can take a bus to one of the resorts next to DTD and walk or ride a boat from there--we will need to leave by 1:30 if we need to hitch rides all over the world:rolleyes1. So, this small part needs to be researched a little)
From T-rex I believe we will go back to the POP for a little R&R
in order to go back to MK around 6:00 pm till probably about 11pm
making for a very long day for Ashton...so, we'll have to play this by ear.

Oh! No! where do you think you want to go? I would love to do the Poly just can't afford it with the older kids...I would love to do CBR, too! I even thought about letting the older kids stay at the POP and us at the CBR...but, that would just be mean :rotfl2:
my thing is I try so hard to keep somewhat of a budget so we can do other things throughout the year...I still need to plan a :beach: trip...:rolleyes1

That's the thing. I really want to stay at the Poly but I could do a lot with the extra 2k. We really don't spend a lot of time in our room but I may never get another 40% off pin so it may be my last shot at staying there.....I'm so confused. About once every two weeks the tightwad kicks in and I start second guessing my arrangements. I probably won't change anything. I'm really thinking hard on it though. :lmao:

I plan to stick it out here throughout the entire day --but if it is too crowded we may hop over to Epcot.
I plan to catch the parade this year:

lunch plans are to try out Flame Tree BBQ--thinking a late lunch...
Danny needs to be sure to catch EE and I'm so excited that Ashton should get to ride Dinosaur
just hope it is not too scary for him!

When we leave here; depending on how tired Ashton is we will probably hop over to DHS for EMH...Ashton loved the Dance party here last year.

and more great news...yesterday at the doctors office Ashton measured 41" with his shoes..at home I had him coming in just shy of 40" w/o shoes :mickeyjum ...so, he can ride Dinosaur :yay: :mickeyjum

he should be able to ride ALL the rides that I ride!!!
still leary about Splash Mountain!

Ashton had to see the pulminoligist yesterday...he still has trachaelmalsia, doctor said will probably take a few years for it to correct itself, but, he seems to be doing well and his oxygen levels were great! So, now we see the cardiologist at his one year mark. I'm sure they will say the same thing! For those of you who joined in this year...Ashton was born with a vascular ring wrapped around his trachea...it was not DX until Jan of 2009. His orginal doctor kept pushing it off as asthma...but, that did not feel right to me so I had sought other help. He had surgery in Jun 2009 and he has some of the stridor when he is very active but that was to be expected...

Leanne,
I know that is a hard choice! We just do not have those kinds of funds to part with; with two young adults....as I said I would love to stay in a deluxe but even if I had the money I don't know if I could do it. I would rather stay at that moderate level, I think you get the best of both worlds there. But, the values are nice too; the pool is the only thing that they skimp on (and Ashton is too young to know the difference). I just don't feel we stay in the hotel enough to do it...I think I will have to settle for just visiting.

That 40% pin is a nice reason to throw all our reasons to the wind, though :rotfl2:
Hey, I'm splurging on US and staying at the RPH (we landed a 49% pin--brought the rooms to $125 :yay:--now we are trying to decide if we want to do one night or two).

Hello!!! we are down there at the same time. Right now we are staying in at AKL and ($750 gift card and %40 pin for the remainder days). Our daughter will be turning 4 while we are there! I enjoy your report!!!

:welcome: npierce25...glad to hear you are enjoying our planning
AKL that is one of my dream resorts...sounds like you got a great deal with the GC and the pin...I know you daughter will love it there.
Do you have a PTR? to follow along and plan with?!?
hope to run into you there...I'm thinking of making a lime green mickey head to attach to whatever bag I decide to carry; don't hesitate to stop me and say hi! if we pass one another.

good idea about taking a long nap--you will definitely need it if you are driving through!! Are you good at sleeping in the car? I am hit or miss but I will most likely be using all my time to study!! (and I might sneak in some fun reading--like Hidden Magic and perhaps another book on Disney.

I don't think that there is a bus from MK to DTD but you could ride the monorail over to CR or MK to catch their bus.

Leanne--I have been going through that too. I questioned my DH on switching to CBR but he said just to leave it alone. :rotfl2: Now if I am fortunate to get a 40% code--I would be changing things! ;)

The plans are looking great so far! I agree, EoS=yummy!

YAY on the 41". We are still waiting on Cooper to reach it. He's at 39" with his shoes on. Since the surgery, however, he has been eating like a fiend and drinking his milk. Hoping this added food to his diet helps with his growth.

A girl can hope right?

Oh Connie your plans look great!! :thumbsup2 We will miss you at Tusker House by 24 hours! We have breakfast there Tuesday morning! I have heard great things about that breakfast and then to be so close to the Safari when you are finished eating can't be beat!! Can't wait to see what you have planned for the rest of the week!!!

Thanks! Stephanie; that will be the plan to hop on the monorail or the boat to WL and catch a bus to DTD...but, I made a new ressie for noon on Saturday at T-Rex...I just hope we make it. If it looks like we won't I'll call and cancel it. So, we may not need to leave MK for DTD and just take a breather to the POP for that R & R instead.

Ashton had been complaining of leg pain for the last two weeks; I believe it was a growth spurt (both Dayne and Gwendolyn would do that--Dayne a few years ago would cry with his legs and a week later grow an inch over night:scared1: ). So, hang in there all that new fod in his system may just promote a growth spurt.:goodvibes

Beth, when I had seen your AK ressie's I tried to change ours to Tuesday. But, no go!:confused3 it appears that we will be in other parks the entire trip. Unless, I change things...which is always possible!:rolleyes1

Congrats to Ashton for reaching the height requirement to ride Dinosaur and for having a good report at the doctor's office!

Leeanne, I totally see where you're coming from on wondering if you should pay the extra $ for a stay at the Poly. I would absolutely love to stay there but it would cost $1,000 + over the cost of the CBR. I keep thinking of all the things I can do with that extra $1,000.00.
