So, today turned out to be beautiful BUT!! it is sweltering outside...from the wet ground and hot sun!! you can actually see it evaporating
suppose to be bad weather tonight and in the AM than the front passes...we will be a whole 70* can you believe it

I rebandaged Chloe's hand after lunch...it was so dirty and cleaned all the nasty tape residue off...I really need to tell her mommy how to do these things! today was the first day that I have seen her since her surgery...I just hope someone has been changing her bandage! She is down for her nap and Peter Pan is playing quietly (his quiet time--I just wish he would break down and nap--but at least he takes a quiet break).

I'm glad your day has improved. That does wonders for our minds. Poor Chloe. They really don't take good care of her do they. I'm sure they love her but it takes more than love.

I wish I too were having quiet time.

Poor Chloe. I hope they have been changing those bandages like they should. But I'm sure you would have noticed if there had been any infection setting up or anything. I'm with Ginny - I could use quiet time, too!

Ah Connie. I'm behind as usual. Glad to know Gwen is safe. When I was in college I used to come home almost every weekend the first two years (until Matt, my brother and my parents all moved down there) and I would always stay until Monday instead of going home Sunday like I should have. I had to leave so early to get to my classes that half the time I ended up pulling into a rest area, exhausted, and falling asleep. Then I'd miss the class anyway. I was glad when everyone finally came to me!

Is Chloe's hand healing okay?

We've had some annoying weather here too. It's SUPPOSED to stop raining tonight or tomorrow morning for a few days, but it's also supposed to be chilly. Saturday is supposed to be Partly Cloudy with a high of 54 or something like that. Beautiful baseball weather, but I need to get Christian a shirt to wear under his uniform (Will has one from last year).

The 10 day forecast is showing rain next weekend, but they are usually wrong that far out. At least I hope so....

Wow you have quite an active thread!! Isn't amazing how crazy life gets sometimes? I hope things calm down a little and that He helps you get through! Wish I could do something to help more!

Hello! everyone!!!
thought I would add a little interest and fun to this PTR...
I had mentioned in a previous post I found a few pictures of Gwendolyn & Dayne's first WDW trip...well I found two pictures from MY first WDW trip and where the for it all began!!!!

so, while we plan a trip that is 13 months away I would add some old memories of where it all began....the problem is I need to go to my mom's and get her albums...

so, I will start with the few of my first trip!!!!

sorry if the pictures are a little grainy...they are old!!!

This first one is from the old "skyway" this should be around 1976!

the next is of my mom, my younger sister, "the MAIN MAN", and myself (I have no clue who the boy is! )

the next two are not of WDW itself but to continue where was instilled
**the grammar school (around 3/4 grade)I went to held an annual spring fair--my mom and a few other moms built our booth to look like a castle and we all dressed like Disney Characters--can you guess who I was...look at the great paper mache the mom did!!!

Have a great day! everyone...it is a beautiful sunny, cool day here...but, the ground is so wet that we appear to be on an island!!! the Disney channel is playing "Ratouille" so we are snacking and enjoying a Disney movie with the house open enjoying the sun and fall smells!

Those pictures are fantastic. What fun to find. I'm guessing you are the knobby knees Doc? That is what it looks like to me but I can be wrong. I don't think you were Alice. I loved the skyway. They just tore the building down. I'm glad it was still up when we were there.

I cannot watch Rattatouille. Too close to the real creatures for me. Altho I tried really hard.

It was funny beacuse I had dark hair my best friend had blonde hair and she was "Snow White" (her costume was prettier than the one you see behind me!) I was the only Alice!

Sorry I made ya'll wait I had to prepare lunch and we were stringing colored frogs!!! Now they are watching Dinosaur train and finally nap!!!!
After the funeral this weekend I'm going to try and get some more pictures of the days of wonderful Disney memories!!!

I did say I didn't think you were Alice because I knew the Rabbit was bigger and older. Obviously your mom. That was great. I'm leaving here in like 20 minutes. YAY for me.

I'm sure Gwendolyn is just fine. Just having fun and being busy. Maybe she ran to a store to buy shorts and a tee shirt

Kimmy, yes we are planning my trip but since it not for 13 more months (unless I can find a way to convince a certain someone before than)...we chat about different things and Disney (about how we wish we were there!! )

The rabbit was an 8th grade girl!!! Mom was walking on the side of the street...I wish I had photos of the castle booth it was awesome...at least in the memory of a 3/4 (I wish I could remember what grade--I really think the way I look 4th grade)grader it was a cool booth! I know it won 1st place! we wond 1st place in the parade and performance too!!!

That is great. Such fun that had to be. I was never a dresser upper. Hated Halloween and costumes. I don't know why. I would have done something like that tho. Those are fun costumes.
