Plus what type of ticket deals does Disney offer? Nothing.

Universal has had or still has buy 1 get one free, they have had end of the year passes, they offer half off tickets with coca cola labels for special events like Horror Nights and the current Grinchmas and Macy's. What does Disney offer nothing; Disney doesn't care about their guests they care about their money. Disney wants you to leave their park broke and they say come again will hit you up for more next time so save up.

Universal offers hotel deals 3 nights for $99 & still you get FOTL access with it. That's a good deal, what does Disney offer $100 a night rooms.

Universal offers the public and not just Florida Residents deals and I think that's what I like about them.

They also had a tent sale and all proceeds went to Charity and Schools. They also sent the Grinch to New York and is traveling back to Florida collecting gifts for the need families who can't afford them. When has Disney ever done anything like that for its community?

I don't know what your talking about but, I wasn't bashing anyone. I was posting facts and if you pin point out me in this topic you should make remarks to everyone else saying the same things.

I should add if it's bashing why don't you prove me wrong and tell me what Disney does for the commuity, and what deals they offer? Lately all they have done for the commuity is get their cruiseline guests sick.

I was, I was pointing out my opinions and views, and facts about Disney. The same as others were posting here, I don't think I was acting uncivilized or as Robert said bashing.

I think I have been helpful, kind, and thoughtful since I have been here. That is how I will remain here, hopefully no problems will occur, but I have seen it in 2 different threads already where I have been negatively labeled.

All the things you mention is not going to the local community, those are organizations they sponsor. Are they donating any of their Billions to the local charities in Florida, No! Does Universal, Yes! The robotic team, that's useful for the needy.

Let's talk light rail remember that, it would have connected "The Space Port" to Orlando, and this would have meant easy access from the cruise lines to Orlando, Disney would have benefited from it but didn't want to chip in. Universal and other parks were willing to.

I remember Disney suing a Day Care Center for distributing Disney films to their kids. That's really contributing I am glad they won because now that day care center is closed and the owner will be paying what ever millions she owns for the rest of her life.

You are right they contribute but not to anything like the homeless or the needy for the holidays. Why should they it's their money why do something nice like that? Universal a company in financial turmoil still can find it in their hearts to give back to Central Florida and raise money for the needy and send the Grinch across the US to collect gifts for the less fortunate this holiday season. When has the Mouse done that?

Actually it's more then 5 but it started with them.

As much as I prefer Universals theme parks, your assessment of Disney's charitable contributions is way off base.

They have the VoluntEARS program. They pay for thousands of Make a Wish Foundation kids to visit their parks each year.

Please go back to dissing Disney on their lack of up to date technology and innovation. As far as charitable work goes, both companies do a lot.

For those who doubt about the Spaceship Earth rumor, I can't confirm it for sure, but check out the Rumors & News forum.

AT&T's sponorship will run out at the end of this year I believe. Microsoft will pick up the sponsorship. The inside of the sphere will be gutted and re-fitted with a new ride based on a ride already at DisneySea in Tokyo.

Oy...

I will probably be going to IOA for the first time in January. I got to the Studios in September and LOVED it!
