We are MOVING to FLORIDA!!!!

Dh just got a promotion and a transfer....we are moving to FL! We are very excited, but nervous! His new office is in Deerfield Beach (near Ft Lauderdale) and we should be moving by July!!!

Any advice or encouragement would help! LOL!

Deerfield Beach is nice. We stayed there a few years ago.

I would live North of Deerfield Beach if we moved down there. There seems to be less development the further North you go.

I'm jealous.

I'm sooo jealous. DH and I are considering a move there. His job has an office in Lake Mary. Still a lot to consider and work out, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Folks from the North often get disappointed at Christmas time when they moved to the south because there's rarely a white Christmas, so you may want to already plan a trip back for December--to get your snow fix.

Congrats Kam on your upcoming move!

In fact, it sounds to me like we're not going to be too far away from each other when you come down here. I live in Delray Beach, which is located in Palm Beach County, just one county north of you!! Maybe after things have calmed down from the move, we can try and schedule a mini-DIS "meet", especially since I just found out that DisneyDMBNut lives in Boynton Beach, which is just one town over from me!!

Also, the weather is very nice down here in the fall. No concerns about snow, and the lowest temperature is about 60 degrees. Sometimes it goes down into the low 40's or 30's in the Winter, but that's on rare occassions.

Awesome! Great to hear some of you are down there! I cannot wait to not have the snow! DH will miss it, but I hate the cold! brrr! LOL!!!
