We are "LIVE" from the Magic 1-4-05

Andy, I've been following your trip and so glad you had such a great time.
Thanks for letting us share. Happy Anniversary!!

Thanks again for great commentary this week, it was fun to hear about the shorter Magic cruise in the doldrums of winter.....

Please send us pictures when you can....

I have a question....do you think it was nice to only cruise for 4 days or was it too short?

:smooth:

Ok So Where are the pictures buddy...

Thanks for all the reporting! Welcome home everyone.
Glad to hear the seas have calmed down.

Andy, I just read thru the thread - Great Updates!!!

Just one question - Didn't you want to push the button for the ships horn just one extra time?

Glad you had a great cruise!!!!!! Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!

Karen

Hope you left the ship in good condition.....my in-laws boarded when you were disembarking!!:) I'm so very happy for you and Hazel to get to blow the horn was a thrill that must have been!! How did you get picked? I would love for that to happen to my in-laws....my Dad-in-law is obsessed with the horn he's been trying to put one on his sailboat!! Anyhow, so glad you have an excellent cruise with super weather and "Magic"ical memories!! Thanks for keeping us up to date. Now it's back to the real world where it's cold and freezing rain and snowing YUK!! sorry :( but I'm sure you took in alot of sun to keep you warm and toasty!!
Laurie

Dear VM, Thanks for your wonderful updates! It sure makes this icy, snowy weather not seem so bad! Welcome home and Happy Anniversary.

Welcome home to all :grouphug: the 1/4 Cruisers, thanks for sharing your trip with us..... :boat:

Hey Buddies, hope the trip home was not only a good one, but a safe one - UGH back to the 50 lbs of clothes and back to work eh? Anyhow want you and Hazel to know that I sincerely enjoyed your visit today - hated to see it come to an end - BTW spoke to "Lisa" and everything went well on embarking - she and her family were waiting for the drills - so glad the bomb scared turned out to be just a very good safety precaution taken - don't know yet what happened but as soon as we see someone tomorrow, will find out - Take care and God's blessings to you and yours - oh tell your mom to call me so that we can make sure she comes to the shop on the 27th before 5PM for the Apollo One memorial - its going to be a good one.
Take care again and chat with ya soon
Always

Welcome home Andy & Hazel. I'm so glad your anniversary cruise was Magical.
Have a safe journey home to NJ. Sorry to say where it is cold & wet. :sad2:
But the two of you have the love in your hearts to warm you both up.

Jennifer

Hey Andy and Hazel!
I looked forward to reading your posts from the Magic every day. I am also very glad that your 30th Anniversary Cruise was soooo wonderful for you two. Sleeping is hard to do; not wanting to miss a minute! There's nothing like watching a "Magic-al" or "Wonder-ful" sunrise or sunset or just gazing into the open sea!
The ones not cruising feel that we are getting to experience your cruise with you and the joy in your life, also. Thanks so much for that. I told my DH that you were on the "Magic". He asked "Isn't that his second cruise since we went in May"? It was funny because he doesn't read the Dis boards. He hears it all from me.
I hope you had a safe trip home and I know you are looking forward to going back again!

Hazel and I were talking about this on the way home. We do have another 7 day cruise planned for August 2006, but we don't think we can last that long, so we might be booking a 4 day Wonder cruise between now and August 2006. The 4 day cruise was very nice, and we still got to do and see quite a bit. I don't think the 4 day was too short at all.

Hazel and I had a late flight home that was made later by a 90 minute delay. We just got in a very short while ago, and my camera is still packed in my carry-on bag. I managed to get about a 30 minute nap on the plane, but since I have been up since 2:50 this morning, I'm heading to bed before I start loading any photos in the computer. I hope to be working on them tomorrow after a good night's sleep.

I'm so glad you and Hazel are home, safe and sound. Can't wait to see the pics!!! :) :3dglasses

Andy, now that you are back in DVC you could always put yourself on the waitlist for the DVC Member Cruise this Sept. It is a 4 day!

I was thinking about doing that while we were at the DVC meetings on the Magic these past few days, I might have Hazel call MS on Monday and look into it. We heard the cruise booked up within hours after the reservation lines were open.

Here are a few, of the more memorable photos, of our cruise that just ended yesterday. This cruise was a "THRILL" of a lifetime for Hazel and I. Being invited to join and meet Captain Thord on the bridge of the Magic, then each of us getting to sound the ship's horn as we sailed away from Castaway Cay, I'm still grinning from mouse ear to mouse ear, just thinking about it!!!

Andy - the cruise did sell out in 5 hours. We had friends who got on the waitlist right away and got in. Friends we sailed with on the 10 day just put themselves on the wait list. I'd at least call and put your name on the list - what do you have to lose.

Great photos! That is so cool that you and Hazel got invited to the bridge on the Magic.I can only imagine the view from there of Castaway Cay.I am glad you both made it back home safely, and I look forward to hearing more about your trip!
