The members of Hakuna Matata have decided to keep our team together. We didn't do the most miles for the year but we enjoyed the interaction of the members and have become close. We will continue for 2009 training season and a lot of us are even planning to go Goofy for 2010.

If any of the other teams want to keep their teams together for 2009 give me a roster of members and I'll update the master roster. We can decide after the Marathon weekend if anyone wants to continure logging miles/hours or just want to keep together as a support group.

A lot of us are part of several online sport groups. We should look at the other groups as brothers and sisters seeking the same goal, we all want to live a healthier lifestyle and support and encourage others to do the same.

I have personally, as many of the rest of you have, tried to get to know members of other groups. I go on the main WISH on occassion, I moderate a section of DisneyRunning, I party with the Disney Deads, I have several friends from Runner's World that I stay in touch with and I have friends from the Walking Site. I'm even doing a Blog for healthy living and positive thoughts.

My dream is that someday we can become a bright enough light in the darkness, that people wanting to change their lifestyles can easily find help and support.

Thanks.

I pretty sure that the Warriors will stay together!!! We like our little group.

Ohana has been discussing staying together...possibly more as support group than mileage/minutes calculating.

Dave...love the idea of an interconnected group of websites with the same ultimate goals. There used to be webrings that connected sites of similar genres or subjects, but I haven't seen that in awhile. Might be cool if we can get all the groups somehow hooked up to each other, while maintaining independence, for easier surfing. Would be neat to have a giant multicolored group meeting during marathon weekend!

Dave,

A lot of the members of the Triple D's have mentioned that they want to stay together. I will go on there and try to get a list of all of the members that do want to continue in participating and get that to you as soon as I can.

I don't know how the rest of the Buzzies feel, but I have become attached to them. I have thoroughly enjoyed this experience this year, so thanks to you Panda for suggesting it! :grouphug: Reporting my totals each week has made me accountable, and has been the best thing for me, and has kept me on track! :thumbsup2

I would LOVE for our group to stay together, but will do what the majority vote for. There will be a lot of them down there this weekend, so you might could ask. I will be cheering for them up here in AL though! :cheer2: I will go post on our thread and ask as well.

Thanks again Panda for a great year!

Panda,

I have about 7-8 of the Triple D's that have confirmed a continuous status with the teams. I would like to suggest that we do like we did last year and start in February. That will give you, and the other administrators, time to put what teams together that you can and it will give those that are doing Marathon Weekend a chance to rest and recuperate from the festivities. Just a thought. What do you all think??

aldisneygfirl - What part of AL are you in? I am in Shelby County about 25 minutes away from Birmingham. Just curious.

N. Alabama, just outside of Huntsville.

Dave, the Goofs are hanging tough into the new year. We just enjoyed the support that we got from our close network. Anyone else is welcome to join in with us. There are only a few that survived the challenge!
