Ideas to focus on:

Fully immersive and interactive (hopefully 360 degree 4D) additions to some part of the great movie ride...possibly an after show attraction.

Create a fully operational 'mini' New York/Broadway with Theaters/Comedy clubs, bars, restaurants a hotel maybe. Located in the 'Streets of America' part of the Park (and/or extend outwards from there...the streets of NY that kind of thing). Think about the best World Showcase pavilions, but a million times better. This can be a part of the park that stays open into the night as a proper entertainment venue for WDW (for people staying at the hotel and guests paying a small admission fee. In the day time it can put on smaller attraction type shows for people in the park.

so that's the basic outline. Make it happen my fellow imagineers! Remember don't be limited by things like the bad economy or technological/logistical limitations. If Walt and Roy where, Snow White would never have been made and DisneyLand would never have been built!

Enjoy :thumbsup2
Stu

P.S. and bring in ideas of your own, it'll be fantastic!

That's a really cool idea!

I think there just needs to be more about the film industry. There should be a behind-the-scenes attraction or something, allowing people to see how cameras work, the make-up process, things of that sort. Maybe at the beginning a few people should be selected for the different roles, and a few are put through costume and make-up, given a small script, and another audience member gets to actually shot the skit. Just an attraction to show more about what the entire park is supposed to revolve around.

That's exactly what I was thinking! I just didn't want to bamboozle people with a million different Ideas! Guests can produce a show or a piece for program and then get a dvd of their work after...it would be SO cool!!!

Bring back Comedy Warehouse! It would definately fit the new Broadway area. As would bringing the Golden Mickeys to DHS. I am definately for this.

It's a brilliant idea. I would definitely pay to have a DVD of a skit I was in, or filmed! See, these people should totally hire us! :cool1:

I would bring back the old Backlot Tour, with the house facades and all. I, too, would include more things to do with the movies and making them. I have always felt that this park was sort of the forgotten park at Disney World. Seems like until recently, MK and Epcot got all the good stuff (I love Epcot so I don't care)! Anyway, even though I loathe American Idol, at least it is a way to have guests interact with show business in a way, so I can deal with it.

Knock a wall down to allow you to go from RnR to the Pixar area. It's like if you couldn't walk from the Speedway in MK to Fantasyland.

They force you to go back to the center of the wheel to go to another "spoke".

Upgrade some of the tired rides/shows.

Star Tours is cute but that technology is so 90's. I would think they could do so much more with the premise of Star Wars.

Indiana Jones is the same show as when I saw it over 11 years ago. I do like how they let guests be part of the show.

I would like to see a pixar area
I would make a different parade
Update Star Tours
Im Still thinking and i will get back for another post

Star Tours definitely needs an update. I think one e-ticket ride, preferably a water ride would complete this park.

You see, as much as new attractions are good, I think it's far more about putting real development into the concept. Hollywood studios doesn't quite do what it says it will do...Yes it's about movies and Hollywood and show business but everything seems to be at a bit of a distance. It doesn't totally immerse you in the way MK or Epcot and even AK does. And it's not just because it needs updating; Disney Studios in Paris has exactly the same problem, it doesn't quite do enough to make the theming complete. And it's because of this that I came up with some of the thought's I did, to get people in, so they forget the outside world so they forget where they are so the park becomes everything. As I've said, it has the potential to be a MK or an Epcot but it really needs to start developing with that same kind of ambition in mind. It could be spectacular!

I agree completely! It has so much potential, but it hasn't done much with it, so far.

Maybe start filming movies there again?

Nothing says Hollywood like having nothing to do with Hollywood.

oh for sure, but if they're not going to to that then something major needs to be done with that back portion of the park. at the moment everything kinda dies the further you go back. It's such a shame!

Actually, they had this originally. The Monster Sound Show and Superstar Television were original attractions. I loved Superstar Television. You could get their early to possibly be selected to be morphed into a classic scene from TV shows. Even though I am a guy, I always wanted to appear with Lucy in the scene at the Candy factory. I don't remember them recording scenes for those individuals actually performing. I think the drawback was that the crowd saw the scene, but the participants did not. As usual, they never updated the attraction and it eventually closed. I still miss it.

They need to feature much more from Indiana Jones and Star Wars. So much potential for new attractions, and again...never any updating of what they have.

They really should start paying us, but to be honest, I don't even want that...just 10 minutes with an imagineer and just say to them 'here, these are my ideas, take them, use them make them even more wonderful than I could ever imagine...' I love disney, that's all that matters

I'd update the great movie ride and star tours. I'd make Star Tours much bigger and more interactive.
I'd add another roller coaster type ride. (Maybe theme it around the wizard of Oz.)
I'd update, and add more, to the backlot tour.
Update muppets 3D

The Wizard of Oz ride would be housed in a large building like RnR R.C.
It would start out slow, giving you interactive scenes with Dorthy on the farm.
When the Twister hits, thats when you would take off fast with hills and loops, with thunder and lightning added for effect.
It would Slow down again for the other scenes in Oz, like the munchins (all animatronic), the yellow brick road, and then fast at the end when u face the witch.

There is a new Pixar area featuring the new Toy Story Mania ride near Narnia and One Man's Dream. Block Party Bash is the new parade with Pixar characters.

Well, that just makes me sad. :sad1: It's such a good idea, and the fact that they closed it because they couldn't keep it updated is sad. I think that's what's wrong with quite a few attractions; they're not kept up-to-date.
