on a happier note. Any thoughts on Animal Kingdom Lodge and Beach club? Kinda leaning on Beach club. But AKL is on the list too.

I've only done AKL, and I'm a fan. It's a beautiful escape from the beachy/theme park world. It's cool and quiet. Service is outstanding. Good pools, good food choices.

However, you do have buses to everything, the Beach Club has a huge advantage there where you can easily walk to 2 parks. I think the BC/YC has it's own bus for MK, but it shares with the Swolfin and BW for AK and DTD. The ride to DTD is loooooooooooooooooong. AKL only shares between the two lodges-Kidani and Jambo House.

The boat is also an option to Epcot/DHS from the BC. It's a nice ride!

It's a short walk - and a very nice one. You enter between the UK and France, right near the bridge. There is VERY rarely a line at that entrance which is a huge bonus. For RD they allow you through the WS and up to a rope in Future World.

I really like Saratoga Springs. Its quiet and remote feeling, even though it is So close (walking close) to downtown Disney. I stay there most of our time as it is our Home Resort. We have our own bus to each park and even to DTD. We have a boat dock to take us to DTD and you can even take the boat up to OKW and Port Orleans. I do like that Beach Club is so close to DHS and EPCOT... it IS an easy walk, but we've never been successful at getting into villas at Beach Club. During the busy times we usually go (school breaks), the people with home resort priority have usually nabbed all the villas. Its also hard to get in during Flower & Garden Show and Food & Wine because of the easy walk to EPCOT. OKW also has its own buses to everything and boats to POR and SSR and DTD, but from OKW you can't really walk to anything else... well... if you want, you really could probably walk to SSR, but why?

I'm at 67 days til SSR!

Grandma update:

My dad just came back from seeing her. She forgets things that happened like 1 hour or 2 ago. And she has a lot of problems talking.

Who knows what will happen. My dad's spirits are low though. He keeps saying: she's 93 after all.

Your dad is probably just trying to make sense of it and be prepared just in case she doesn't pull through.

The fact is that I feel so confused. I don't know how to feel. I don't know if I'm sad or not. You know? I'm not that close to her. We saw each other like maximum 5 times a year. And that's a big maximum. She's not the kind of grandmother my other grandmother was who was babysitting me, giving me gift, kissing me, etc.

I hope I don't sound like a bad person. Thing is, I don't really know her.

It makes TOTAL sense, you are not a bad person. You probably feel like you should feel sad because she is your Grandma - a relative - but because you aren't very close, you don't. Makes complete sense, and it's okay! You probably feel worse for your Dad than you do about your Grandma, huh?

Well guys, I am still waiting on my Alice costume I bought on ebay.

Apparently it cleared customs September 2. Long time ago and I'm still waiting!

I contacted the company, and they said to write them back in a week if I still haven't received it.

I'm sorry about your Grandmother. I know exactly how you feel as I went through a similar thing a few yrs ago with my own grandmother. Thoughts and prayers for your family!

I'm sorry I haven't updated yet. I will try to do that tomorow. Ever since school started I feel like I'm on teacher mode 24/7. I am planning and creating projects with examples and such.

I am now working on a Ghostbusters project. Students (in teams of 2) will have to create an ad campaign for that company. So I am trying to find National Enquirer type of articles about ghosts but I need to find them in French.

Other question: I saw a toaster oven for 38$ at Wal Mart. I am debating between buying that, or a normal toaster. What do you guys think? What do you prefer?

I definitely prefer a toaster for toast and waffles. But would use a toaster oven to heat up small meals instead of turning on the oven.
