Well making that painting for my high school reunion might pay off. I went to give it to the organizers and at least one of them might order one from me. And another one inquired. Woohoo! The 16x20 start at 50$. I know it's cheap, but I'm thinking I might start cheap and if requests come in, increase the price once my name is made. If you know what I mean

Thursday July 22 - 98F Sunny

Today was not a park day. So we took it easy in the morning. Grabbed breakfast at the hotel and them at around 11am, we were off to Downtown Disney.

We only visited a few stores. We stopped at "Art of Disney", "World of Disney" and the Christmas store.

When our stomachs started growling, we began to wonder where to eat. Nothing really seemed appealing in DD. As we got talking, we realized that now was the moment to show my dad POR. He had never been, and we wanted to show him. So we took the boat and headed to the resort. My dad did not enjoy the boat ride as much as we did hehe.

We got to POR, walked around a bit, and then had a late lunch.

To get back to the hotel we decided to take a bus to MK, and then walk the rest of the way to our hotel.

We got back to the room close to dinner time. We didn't really feel like eating as we felt we just ate. So we just snacked, and I went to buy my BFF's son a polo shirt.

Movies under the stars was playing a movie I love: Mulan. So I went to watch a part of it. Got back to the room for the fireworks. Then it was the usual routine: reading and watching AFV.

I went to bed around 11pm.

Friday July 23 - Sunny and rain

Today was an Epcot day. We love Epcot, as you can see. I got up at 8am, quickly ate breakfast and got ready. We were taking the monorail by 10am.

As we got there, we headed to................... Captain EO hehehe My dad loved it, like we did. He wanted to do it again later on in the trip.

Since we were looking for shade and A/C, I suggested Living with the Sea. I had never done the "Clammobiles" part and the wait was very minimal. Maybe 5 minutes?

We walked around the exhibitions and that's when I bought my Dory. Yep, I love Dory and I love Ellen! heheh


When we left that pavillion, we headed to the World Showcase as we had one thing in mind: Schoolbread! YUM!!! Last time we had shared (mom and I), but this time we wanted our own. My dad said he wasn't really hungry and he got a chocolate chip cookie.

After that, we were off to "China". I had never seen that exhibit and wanted to see it. I thought it was really cool. Here are some pics.

As we exited the pavillion, my dad was hungry and wanted an egg roll. We shared a plate of egg rolls and let me tell you, they were quite tasty!

I've heard many good things about those egg rolls! They are on my "if I'm hungry" list. I will try them at some point!

I'm excited to see Captain E.O.!!

Nemo is pretty cute, isn't it? I wouldn't wait much more than 5 minutes for it (except I have a child who LOVES Nemo, so at this point in my life, yes I would wait ), but it's cute. The starfish at the end is the best part.

The NYC trips for art teacher was cancelled. Not enough inscriptions. I'm really bummed!

Sounds like you had fun at the match! Too bad your NYC trip was cancelled. If you ever want to take a trip there, we'd love to meet you for dinner or something!

I'm so bummed about the NYC trip. It seems NYC trips are doomed for me. I'm really hoping for a week end before the holidays. So maybe I can see the cool windows and the Rockefellar tree. I would definetly up for dinner

Me too, me too! I'd love to meet up with both of you ladies for some yummy dinner in the City. The holidays really are a beautiful time to visit too!

I can't find the "Alice" wig. They had all the princesses during the trip, but not the Alice wig. I guess I'll have to use a normal blonde wig. Then again, I still have to find the pattern.

Ok well let's start with the good news

First of all, I decided not to make the Alice costume. I bought one off ebay. I am waiting for it to see it it fits. Their size chart makes me feel obese those lol I had to order an XL. Oh well. I'll be set for years now. One year will be snow white, the next Alice.

Ok as for work. I have the same amount of periods. So part-time but... I have secondary 2,3 and 4. Which I guess means grade 9-10-11. I teach grade 11 the subject I taught years ago and wanted back. But couldn't because of seniority. I teach Scenography. You know, how to create sets. We create sets and decorations for special events and the dance and theater shows. It's a lot of work and I always loved doing that. Plus NO special ed classes this year. First time EVER! I am so excited.

And finally, the greatest news..... I have my OWN classroom! I can'T wait to decorate it. Yeah I'm not in the classroom as of now since the teacher in there had to move and it was all decided like last week. So it looks like the start of a great year.

Okay, so just saw a commercial for The Lion King on Broadway and I realized it's been there well over 10 years and I've never seen it!! So when you come to NYC, we'll go see it together! How does that sound?

That is great work news! That class sounds AWESOME. I wish my high school would have had that! I was in all the plays, "Prop Director" usually, also partly in-charge of the scenes. I love that stuff.

We Poppins when it first opened and Beauty and the Beast just a few years ago when they announced that it would be closing. Poppins completely blew us away and Beauty and the Beast was absolutely ready to close! Even the performers were so lackluster is was kind of sad.

We had tickets for Little Mermaid the second weekend after opening but then there was a stagehand strike and Broadway was dark for a while. We got out money back but by the time we were ready to reschedule, reviews had come out and they were NOT good so we just skipped it.
