We are heading back on probably the most busiest time of the year. The first break in February. We are bring along my in laws who have never been here before.
The Magic Kingdom and Epcot I have been to before. However MGM and Animal Kingdom I have not. We could use some help for everyone. Any idea is a good one.
One last thing, I have seen license plate covers that say "Walt Disney World, Been there, done that, going back". Has anyone seen where you can purchase them? I tried the Disney store and on line and have not been able to find them.

We just went Christmas week (busiest week of the year) with someone who has never been to Disney before. All I can say is, go into the park you choose early, be there at opening. The parks are very crowded during the holiday weeks, and will be for Presidents week too. Also, make any dining reservations now, so you don't have to be disappointed when you get there. Maybe have your inlaws look at the Disney website before they leave and check out which park will interest them.

Before leaving, read the UOG Book or similar book on Disney World. Reading that saved us on our first trip.
If you are staying onsite, get the park maps when you check in to the Hotel rather than when you first to the parks.
In the parks you haven't been in especially, study those maps real closely to get an idea of where everything is. And when the shows/parades/fireworks that you want to see start.
As mentioned in previous post, DO get there EARLY! That will help alot with the crowds.

Tell the newbies not to expect to do everything in one day/one trip. It can be overwelming/impossible to do it all esp. during the busy times.

Have FUN! :flower:

What do the in-laws like? On my father-in-law's first trip to Disney World, we saw every single tree and bush in the parks because he's so into nature. And he loved it. Since then, he's been back many times with us. My mother-in-law loves to go-go-go so we leave the father-in-law looking at stuff and do the rides with her. Have a fun dinner together (if you live close by) or start daily emails about the "plans". Things will change but at least you'll have some idea of what they are expecting.

For the license plates, I know they are at Mouse Gears at Epcot. They will be at Downtown Disney at the mega World of Disney. They also have magnetic bumper stickers and sunscreens as well. Can you tell I have all of them?

My only thought is to remember to go slowly with the in-laws. I'm and in-law now too for awhile and that means we're not in our 30's any more. Commando style went out alot of years ago but the many trips curbed that. We've found alot of new things just strolling, and observing and even sitting on a bench and looking, smelling and watching things we used to blow right by. Guess it comes with age. We have our favorite rides we do in each park, MK being the best and EPCOT second, espically after the sun goes down. MGM has its bright spots but not a whole day full and AK we don't really care for, way too crowded the way its laid out, We enjoy relaxing time at the resort pools and occasionally do the bar scence at night. Like Contemporary's bar and location and Trails End for quietness beer and pizza and for a stupid night, Jellyrolls, this place brings a smile to us old timers and a few beers with out the jukebox blaring or people hoot n hollaring over a big screen is a good thing.
